STIFF STIFF STIFF...

Did I mention stiff?

Don't go misleading the poor guy, they aren't that flexible. :D

Seriously, those things are brutally stiff.

I have a pair. I don't think they'll ever break down, but you really should try them on if you can. As JR said, they're tall too. My ankle sits below the ankle padding, which makes for a lot of discomfort for me when I skate.

Lets just say is Al Macinnis ripped a slapper off your foot while wearing 7000s, you wouldn't feel a thing. They were awesome skates, i loved mine.

Not true, I've seen a lot of foot and ankle problems with people wearing them. Hell, I've caused some of those problems and I don't have a shot anywhere near his.

If you like sore feet, blisters and band-aids go ahead and get that year 7000s. I had those for 4 years and as of last year I still had to put a folded gauze pad over my ankle bone under my sock to keep my ankle bone from being iritated. I think the model years after that they weren't as stiff. I know totalhockey.net had '03 8000's for $299 at one point---a little more cash but less pain.

Never had a problem with mine, I absolutly loved them. Actually liked them so much that I replaced with a new pair or pro stock last year. They fit my foot perfectly, and aren't too tall but I'm 6'0 so it might be a different story for others.
