Glove re-palming...

Recommended Posts

Perani's sends theirs out and said it would take two weeks.

B&R said they send theirs out too, but suggested I call a shoe-repair place.

A few shoe repair places I called seemed really sketchy ("i think we can do it")

I don't really want my gloves repalmed by a place that "thinks" they can do it. And I am sure they don't even have replacement palms in stock if they're not even sure they can do it to begin with.

So, wondering if anyone knows of a place that does it in metro-Detroit locally.

If not, I am thinking of using fixitbymail.com -- anyone else here use them before?

College Shoe Repair in Ann Arbor.

That's the only one I know that does in this area.

However, can't vouch for their work. I can however vouch for Fixitbymail. Great work.

I am an east sider so these are a little far for me... I am assuming this isn't really something they do "while you wait", eh? Or at least while you "go down the street and grab some lunch"? :)

You do know how a glove is repalmed, right?

Sorry for the hijack, but anyone know a good repalming place in the Twin Cities, MN?

I'm also curious how long it takes for a replaming...should I get a second pair of gloves while I wait or is it something that can be done in under a week?

I know this is out of the area for you guys but Stadium Systems in CT do excellent work and have a extremely fast turn around time. I usually send gloves out on monday and have them back by thursday. Send them Priorty mail on Monday and theres a chance you could have them by Saturday!!!!! Usually costs about $50 for a pair to get repalmed

I have used Stadium System for almost 30 years. They do re-conditioning for pro and college repair work. They have a great synthetic palm for replacement palms. Highly recommended.
