I got the 9ks they are sick, you barely notice the little extra weight when your on the ice and protection is the best

I don't really think that "weight" should be much of an issue. However, after coming from the 8k's(which I loved) I really like the 9k's a ton. I find they have a good range of movement and good protection. I have blocked shots with them and haven't had a problem.

This was already posted, but it bears repeating. I went from 8k to 9k, needless to say, I have gone back to my 8k. If anyone, wants to buy a new pair of size small 9ks, PM me. What made me go back was the extra weight and decreased mobility.

Same as everyone else. A little heavy, but the BEST pant I have ever worn.

I bought the 8k's when they first came out and they were the best off the shelf pant I ever used. After 2+ seasons, I notice that my Hips were getting a little more sore after games and I figured the padding was starting to break down. I decided to give the 9k's a shot. What I loved about the 8k's was amplified with the 9k's. Off the shelf, these pants are game ready flexible. Yes, they are slightly heavier but not noticable on the ice. As far as the fit goes, I love the snug girdle feel around the hips along with the loose traditional fit feel around the legs. I have no regret spending the money on these. I just wish you could buy 9k shells only so that you could do the different colors without buying the whole setup.

can't wear them, i like a more traditional pant, plus it feels way to much like a girdle for me. CCM pro tacks are the way to go

tried on the 9k...WAYY HEAVY and it is a girdle with a built on shell, and the 199USD price tag didn't help sell it to me either....

8k or 6k Pant are great IMO

I would stick to the 8K as well. The 9K is a tank and it weighs like one too.

As far as durability, I'm sending them back to RBK. The stitching on the shell on my pants are coming apart where the velco on the thigh pads are located. To me this is a bad design idea. Would rather have the snaps like the 8k pant has. Not being able to order a shell separately also is a really bad idea.
