Bauer 8090 question

Recommended Posts

Im thinking of getting some Bauer 8090's and have read the reivew that Cavs wrote. Anyway im wondering if the 8090's will fit feet with medium thickness, sence I did not get that info form the review.

They are deeper fitting than some of the other brands/models. Trying them on is the best way to find out, if that's an option. They also fit to a different size than the Vapors so be careful.

I skate Graf 609's right now and i was just wondering if The 8090's fit as deep as them. If so then i cant get 8090's because the 609's fit a little too deep for me.

10EE vapors were very tight in terms of length and width, 8090 in a 10D fit very well. Best comparison I can do, teh 8090s are longer and wider.

go try them on. We don't know your feet, and if your expecting them to feel anything remotely like the vapor 10, you will be very surprised.

Thanks for the feedback. The length should be the same but we are using a different last, insole, outsole, toe cap which makes the 8090 feel much different than a traditional Bauer skate. The comfort of this model is very good.... but have kept the performance benefits of a traditional Bauer skate.

We will look into the length issue that has been mentioned & provide feedback.

If you are interested in the 8090 model, the best way to determine your specific size is with your LHS who is trained & has the experteese to give you what you need.

Everyone I know who has tried them wears at least a half size down, even the remarks from the members here seem to verify that. As you said, going to a proshop that knows how to fit you properly is the key. The problem is, those shops are getting harder to find.

Its a nice courtesy that you dont want to wheel your lhs out of a sale, but you will ultimately benifit in the long run by spending the extra buck and buy them from your lhs. Hypathetically speaking, 379 for a properly fitted skate is much better than 319 and then another 350+ when you find out the 8090s you bought online dont fit correctly and need to be replaced
