pro stock curves similar to modano/forsberg/federov/pm9 retail

Recommended Posts

i always search the online deals for pro stock but i can never find the curve i like. i normally use retail modano/forsberg/federov/etc... the main things i look for in a curve/stick are:

1) low lie angle

2) mid-heel curve

3) very little loft

4) 3/8" to 1/2" curve (i also like the easton heatley retail)

5) 100 flex or lower. preferably 85 but i can use 100 also.

i dont care so much about:

1) toe shape, although i prefer a rounded square - sort of in between

2) blade length

for all you modano/forsberg users, what prostocks do you like?

edit: i forgot to mention i'm lefty

Is it too obvious to suggest that if you like the Mo curve, that you should just buy a Mo (retail) curve? You can still search for deals on those, they will come with a warrantee, and things like the flex, curve, and lie won't change as often.

Just a thought...

i am a life time user of those curves. the best pro stock curves ive found for that curve in particular are from RBK either the D-14 curve or the M-14 curve. ive also found some vapor XXX lites in that curve. eastwesthockey has some right now. http://eastwesthockey.net/nibavaxxjola2.html . sorry if your left handed

If you're that picky, just stick with the retails that you know will work for you.

Agreed. Why go with something that has no warranty.

And yes, I said Modano. The curve is there, it's just a longer blade. And his blade is super thin. Took about 2 weeks for me to get used to it. <_<

Expecting every pro stick with a certain name on it to be the same is going to cause a lot of heartbreak down the road. Between the production mistakes and guys trying different curves, it's highly unlikely that you're going to get the same thing twice in a row. But hey, if you want to roll the dice with prostocks in order to save a couple bucks, best of luck to you.

As for options;

Easton, NBH, TPS, Mission, RBK/CCM and Warrior retail isn't a wide enough variety?

i'm talking about finding good deals. and there are always good deals on prostocks if you know which sticks you like.

you know what would be nice?..if you actually contributed to the question i asked like some of the others have. i have my reasons for asking the question and i'm not asking you to agree with those reasons.

If you're a member of the Easton message board, they're doing a toy drive again this year and for the low, low cost of $85 worth of toys to be donated to children in need you can get a S17.

i'm talking about finding good deals. and there are always good deals on prostocks if you know which sticks you like.

But you don't know which prostocks you like. Thus Chadd's point.
