Cheapest SRS repair in Toronto

Hey everyone,

I've got a shaft i'm contemplating on getting fixed. The lowest price I've been quoted was $40 at Majer hockey. Anyone know of anything cheaper? I know its totally not worth it b/c the shaft itself was $60 but I'm curious more than anything.

I wish bud, everyone i've gone to check (mostly corporate) charges $40. Maybe its standard all around now.

Sounds like a business opportunity for someone up there. I think the going price here in the states is $29.99, that's reasonable for a shaft, enough to make some profit but not overkill..

After some searching I found one at $29.99. Source for Sports. The shaft is broken at the taper. THe guy was kind of hesitant to do it but he said it could work. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'll only be using it for ball hockey but I do take a lot of slappers..so we'll see.

Anyone else currently using one that was repaired at the taper?

tried it and broke the first time i used it. since found out a guy i skate with does shaft repair as well. he has done one for me and i couldn't tell it was broken. his web site: www.compositestickdr.com. sorry about not putting a link up

matt does a great job. the biggest difference between his and srs is that his is on the outside and is stronger. matt's background is that he make composite airplane parts. so his repairs are done with aircraft grade composites and he offers a 45 day warrenty.

problem is, with us Canada guys we have to ship it and it ends up costing more.
