Insoles?

Recommended Posts

Is there a significant difference between the yellow and the grey? I read a little more into the thread and saw that some of the Superfeet insoles can reduce the volume of the skate and effect the overall fit which I would like to avoid. Since my skates are essentially One 90's; is there anyone who has One90's and uses Superfeet? If so, which color do you use?

Thanks for the help everyone! The superfeet website said that yellow is a newer and improved grey version. I'll give the black ones a shot while I wait for the yellow to come out. Hopefully the black ones will do the trick and I won't need to wait for the yellow.

There is supposed to be a Yellow version out for skates as well... although i have not seen them anywhere... and can't find the other thread where I saw that...

from superfeet.com

YELLOW is the new Grey! Superfeet's GREY Premium Insole is now YELLOW... but the changes aren't just cosmetic. Originally designed to fit the exact heel-to-toe profile of hockey skates, Superfeet YELLOW adds fit, comfort and performance to any slim footwear with a raised heel. YELLOW now features a wider forefoot to provide full underfoot coverage. New Diamond Venting system aligns with the perforated outsoles of hockey skates and road cycling shoes for improved air circulation. Featuring Agion® antimicrobial top cover treatment to reduce bacteria and help prevent foot odor.

Ideal for feet with low to medium arches, but fits all arch types.

Recommended footwear: Hockey and figure skates, road cycling shoes, track spikes and western boots.

Black fits ONE90 a bit better than grey.

I have the One95 in a 10.5 EE ... grey or black?

I just want to try them out...

Black or yellow

yea after reading the info on the yellow ones being a little wider, i figured the same...either will work...

thanks though

I have Grey one's in my one90's. They feel great but if you look into the skate it's clear the Superfeet could be a fair amount wider. There's a gap between the side of the skate and the insole near the heel/arch area. Maybe I can get a pic up. Like I said the still feel great and completely eliminated my sesamoiditis.

Weirdly, a size up in Superfeet (ie. an E cut down to the length of a D) is a perfect, seamless fit into the heel, arch and midfoot of correctly-sized D-width Flexlites. Sheer accident, I'd imagine, but it's an absolutely perfect fit. The insole doesn't quite cover the forefoot or toebox, but it's hard to tell because I've had mine stretch so far.

Well if you actually read the instructions on their website they tell you to buy a size up if it doesn't fit your heal correctly.

Well, if you had actually read the thread or any of the posts, you'd know that we already knew that.

Picked up a pair of yellows right out of the shipping box yesterday. Put them in my One90's with a bit of a trim in the forefoot area. I hope to get a short skate on them today. I'll report back.

Hi all

I have a slight pronation problem on my left leg,

I have the grey, the heel lift is a little different and it takes a drop more volume

I ordered the Black superfeet, no heel lift and thin sole won't take up so much volume

I will report how the black work out too, the skate should fit better than the grey

I can't wait

Anybody use the black super feet???????

And does anybody notice less pronation with superfeet??????,

I did have some pressure on the outside of my left leg , I quess my foot was turning in and the top of the skate would hit just above the ankle. Please help Thanks so much

i have the grey superfeet. they do make a big difference on how comfortable the foot feels in the skate. They are well worth the money.

I skated with a pair yesterday. They still need to be broken in a little. I got a some lace bite on top of the foot but, as some has said, the feel for the ice was much better with them.

sorry to bring the old topic back, but are yellow superfeet really any better then grey?

they look about the same to me - different colour, diamond shaped vent holes but that's about it?

I'll just add I've been skating in Superfeet for a year now, and they're still in fantastic condition. I took them out this past weekend to see how they are holding up (and if there is any sweat damage underneath them), and they still look brand new. The skate is still in great shape with no water damage. Very good investment.

I'll chime in as well. I've been battling with my One75's for a while now with pain on the outside of both feet. I just got the Superfeet yellow and the difference was immediate. I had to trim them down a little as my foot size was on the cusp of their sizing cutoffs. The foot pain was present at first but faded about half way through a lengthy skate session. Usually, the pain forms and doesn't go away until I take the skates off. The only problem I experienced with them were blisters on the insides of my ankles which was a welcome change from the other pain. Hopefully when they break in a little more the blistering will stop. I am extremely satisfied with the Superfeet yellow.

Just figured I'd add this in for anyone with High arches.

SOLE slimsport footbeds are awesome. The superfeet didn't work for me because I have a seriously high arch. These have the highest arch out there, they are also heat moldable which I did't do though because I didn't wanna loose the support there.

They're a little thinner than shock doctors, but do take up more volume than the cheap o's my Vectors came with.

Theyre a good company too, 90 day return policy, I was actually able to exchange a pair that I had originally cut too narrow. They carry them at REI or a lot of bike shops carry them too.

I don't doubt for a second that for the right foot type superfeets are great (filling negative space)

the question was whether yellow ones are really worth extra $ comparing to grey?

JR - I'm sure you know the answer - could you plz share? ;)

The yellows are the same price as the greys (I have both).
