Good Bye Warrior Blades?

Recommended Posts

why wouldn't they be able to sell them? it's not like NBH has that trademarked with any catchy tech slogan. And didn't warrior (or inno) do it first?

That is indeed false. Inno use to make some of the sticks for NBH not to mention that the True-1 from Inno was the first stick with that pattern. Actually all the way up the shaft.

The "checker" blades aren't anything special. Its just the way it is the blade is manufactured. Different types of carbon weaves require more or less graphite.

the way the fibers are woven plays a role on the mechanical properties of composite. i do think the checker blades are special because, in my experience, warrior blades don't delaminate easily like the traditional, finer weave. i'm not fully convinced this is because of the 'checker' weave though because there are other factors involved.

edit: i wanted to add the following

1) the carbon fibers are not purely graphitic.

2) and the checker pattern requires less fiber.

I believe that the idea is that by alternating the direction of the weave it makes the stick stiffer. I.E., harder to flex across the "seams" of the weave if they constantly vary within a centimeter of each other.

They should do away with the blades anyways. Any of the newer style blades i've had have split apart right on the checkered seams, I dont know if its just a fluke but its happened 3 times so until then I'll just stay away from the new style blades.

Al Gore invented the Internet and NBH invented checkers.

i can't believe there are still people who think that al gore actually said he invented the internet

I thought he invented global warming.
