Here's what Corry said when he was the CCM/RBK pointman here on MSH two years ago.

50KP/X-stiff = roughly 125 pro flex

45KP/Stiff = roughly 110

40KP/Regular = roughly 100

35KP/Mid = roughly 85

30KP/Light = even softer flex

20KP/Junior = junior flex

My findings is that, at least with CCM sticks, that isn't accurate.

Regular is definitely closer to 85 than 100.

+1

My 7K in a 40kp is definately in the neighborhood of 85.

My experiences with rbk sticks has been a bit inconsistent. Some sticks have felt true to their rating, but I've had some regular flexes that felt like 110. Tonight I held on to a 100 flex sick kick and it felt pretty good, right on the mark.

its brand new, just a bigger lhs is moving into an older lhs's store so they're blowing out all their stock. Has anyone else had this problem with a sickick shaft. Ive never used a shaft before, is this something i should have expected?

the prostock sickick i had was a solid stick, just not the best performing thing ever. for one thing it's not light for a top of the line stick and kick wise the V130 is a lot better. i got my hands on some older 7K shafts because i was a fan of the shape and grip, though.

Don't mind at all. The feel for the puck on this stick is not that great, especially when in comparison to a good TPS stick (my personal faves). That, and RBK blades are notorious for chipping rather quickly.

CCM/Reebok use the IMS, in which they use kg, other brands like Easton and NBH use the English metric system, meaning they use Lb, so to convert from CCM to Easton simply multiply the value by 2.2, i.e. 40*2.2= 88, and going backwards, multiply by 0.453599, i.e. 88*.0453599= 40.

So, the true values for CCM are:

20Kp = 44

30Kp = 66

35Kp = 77

40Kp = 88

45Kp = 99

50Kp = 110

55Kp = 121

60Kp = 132

Hope this helps, :)
