cut my visor down... again...

Recommended Posts

as some of you know, this visor started out as an Itech Concept II full shield. I had cut it down to a half shield, but i recently wanted to try a wave cut.

I did this all by hand with a dremel

it took about an hour and half. here's what i did...

(i'm studying mechanical engineering so i did it the precise way)

-drew a flat pattern of the visor on autoCAD and printed off a template.

-put hockey tape on the visor where the cuts would be

-traced the template

-cut the wave on the bottom, cut the top mounting bar and vents off, and drilled mounting holes in the sides

-ground and block sanded the bottom to make it flat and level

i know, i know, if i had worked an hour and a half at a real job, i'd have made enough money to buy a real visor haha... but i actually enjoyed doing this project.
