I saw him play a couple of days ago. He looks like he tries to do all the offense by himself. In the defensive zone he waits for the breakout but after he goes by himself. I dont know if anyone else notics this but his team kinda sucks. He needs a new teamate.

He has a lot more talent this year than he has had in the past. Nylander, Kozlov, Semin and Backstrom are good players. Now if they can just find some guys who can play defense and a goalie who didn't know jesus personally they'll be all set.

Semin has been inconsistent and battling injuries all year. Nylander has been banged up as of late and Backstrom is still only a rated rookie. They need help at defense, goalie and forward. I agree that Alex literally does it all himself most nights...

I don't know how many goals they expect Kozlov to score when hes playing on a line with Brasher and Brooks Laich, Semin will turn it around - hes been really banged up and hes just to talented to not start scoring some more goals

I don't know where the Caps will find defense since they've already taken all of the Bruins fringe NHL defensemen.

Man, I wish the Caps would have picked up Savard instead of when boston did. Philipe Boucher is a good defenseman, and Dallas is trading him, so Washington may be able to shore up a BIT of Defence problems there.Marian Hossa is supposed to be a Unrestricted Free Agent this year, but he Stated that he wants to stay with the Thrashers.

Big +1. I think they will regret this. None of our goalie prospects are ready and Ollie has at best 2 seasons left at most, and that's pretty generous.

Poor Kozlov, he's been totally snakebitten.... Can't score to save his life... Missing the net, hitting posts, you name it.

If Washington had one or two supplementary scorers and 1 more defenseman, I'd bet they could do some real damage. Especially if they could nab a stronger goalie...

Semin is a solid "supplemental" goal scorer when healthy, and based on tonights game they certainly have the offense. Its the defense and the goaltending that is lacking.

Kolzig still has it in him to be a very solid goaltender, but age has taken its toll and he really can't handle the workload he's given. Brent Johnson is one of the most bipolar goalies around so he's not the kind of consistent backup teams usually crave.

The caps have a nice core on their back end head lined by mike green, but its all about shaping it. right now its just too young and is really struggling to maintain consistency.

The last couple of games, while Olie has got wins, he hasn't looked solid. I think he could thrive in somewhere like Detroit, where they have solid D to keep the shots to the outside (not that they are looking for a goalie, just an example) and to a minimum. Sort of like when they had Witt, Johannson, Klee, Gonchar etc.

The D in washington is still young, with the exception of Poti (who, with my first goal of the season on Dec 20th, has one less goal than me this season!!) who has sucked big time, and Pothier, who has looked good and godawful, sometimes in the same game.

Morrisson and Green are coming up real nice, and Sarge has some good moments, but needs to use the body more.

I think Olie has lost the ability to be a game changer because he overcompensates his positioning due to the D in front of him.

I agree that not getting bryzgalov was a bad move, but word on the wind is that the reason the caps got a 2nd round pick for perennial healthy scratch Sutherby was to not take him, make of that what you will.

Semin hasn't been fully healthy with his ankle until the last few games and he has put up goals there, but now he is out again after the hit last night injured his tailbone, but if they get him back proper, and get Clark to get back in front of net when he is healthy again because he has a knack of good rebounds that will help 2ndry scoring, but they are playing good now, so lets hope they keep it up
