Is it true that most of the Pro's in the NHL are using RBK 9k pants? I was reading something about it being part of their uniform or something..

what are peoples thoughts on the 9k pants anyway?

and also what does european cut mean in pant designs?

Euro fit, as I understand it, is tighter in the waist and more loose through the legs.

They are a bit heavy but it's not that bad. I love these pants, they are so comfortable. Basicly they are the best girdle i've ever worn with a really good shell. You can wear any shell with them.

Do the legs fit loose like pants, or tight like a girdle?

I don't know about player pants, but the RBK pro-grade goalie pants are basically augmented copies of the CCM 620G.PRO, which used different foams (far superior and far more expensive) than were ever available at the retail level.

I have had the 9k's for about 4 months now and they are hands down the best pant I have worn to date. Sure they may be a little heavier, but the fit and amount of protection makes up for it ten-fold. Completly adjustable. My only complaint (besides a little extra weight) would be the durability of the shell. But that is easily replacable.

9.5/10

I see RBK pro returns on ebay fairly often- but they dont look like 520/620 (whatever the non-goalie version is). They look just like Tackla 5000's

At the Caps equipment sale last June the guy told me that they were pushing Eastons and RBK's on players.... That's all that was for sale as well...

RBK is "RBK by JOFA." CCM still has a brand identity.

Yes and no. Ive seen a fair amount of RBK branded pants that are 7000's , HP18 OR 520 tagged. And Ive also seen these in JOFA and CCM. Ive seen alot more of these types of RBK tagged pants than Ive seen 9k's.

Agreed 100%. The 9k pants are by far and away the most comfortable and mobile breezers I've EVER tried. They are basically setup to be custom tailored to each person, so fit will (or should) never be an issue. They are a ~tad~ heavy, but once they are on the added mobility they give you more than make up for the weight (which really isn't that much more than any other breezer out there).

Can you break down the difference between these three pants? Thanks!

They feel mostly like a girdle around the legs, but it's different. You have to get used to them. I wore them them to one practice and one open session before they were game ready. After though, best pants ever.

HP7000 were JOFA pro issue pants. Never found them anywhere except pro returns. Same with the CCM MHP18's pro only. 520's were around a while back those you could find retail. Seen quite a few lately popping up on Ebay. Im sure Chadd or JR could give you more specifics on the pants.

So this means you are able to make the legs "loose" like a pant, rather than tight like a girdle? Sorry for asking again, but I haven't been able to find out anywhere and nobody near me has them in stock to try on.
