The painting chipping off shouldn't be any fault of the retailer. That's the fault of the manufacturer and it's no big deal. Purely cosmetic. Just look at it this way - your stick just got a gram lighter :lol:

How do companys miss this? Surely they test the product alot and see the chipping. Do they simply dont care to fix it, or dont see it as a big deal?

I know its cosmetic but I would still be a little mad

Pretty simple:

You can't just expect all of these light composite materials and laminates to bind to each other all the time. The stick itself is made of a certain mixture of materials, and most paints don't adhere well. An adhesive mixture can be used, but in most cases either add additional unnecessary weight or affect the properties of the composites. It's something you just need to learn to deal with.

Some people have tried to make the car paint argument...but it is not even close. Your composite stick would weigh 3X as much and cost much more if it was primed 2-3 times, received 7-10 coats of paint, a coat or two of sealer, and a layer of wax...and would still chip with a nice whack from the ankle-bender at skate and shoot.

Don't believe me? Go outside and slash your car door...see what happens...and don't send me the bill if you do.

I know I wouldnt care if I were using it and I dont think the manufacturer cares as long as you can still read their brand name on it

i'm happy with xxxx stick. i just wonder why paint chip off when received it. it is made in china. haha

I had the same problem with my XXX Lite Woody. I'd say it's pretty obvious NBH goes the cheap route when it comes to graphics. Check out how Easton applies their graphics

I can't believe we are still talking about this. Two little chips is not a big deal. When i got my s17 on christmas it had a few chips. Who cares, it has so many scraches and chips in it now. it's a hockey stick not an artifact from a museum.

i not concern about OPS beauty contest, i concern about icewarehouse might shipped wrong stick to me, i received the stick, the length is 49" and lie is 4. Although the stick is alright to my height, i'm totally disappointed and getting intermediate stick.

may i know the length of junior xxxx stick should be 52" and lie should be 6 right?

i email icewarehouse with no response.
