Who are and were some one hit wonders....guys who put up big numbers one season but failed to do so again and drop out of the lime light???Jose Theodore? Although he has rebounded nicely this year...but nothing like his Hart/Vezina year.Andrew Raycroft...Calder Trophy, not much since. Both have stayed in the limelight...mostly for their failures. cxo 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2008 Wow? Why so many goalies on the list?As easy as it is for a good goalie to get the blame for a bad teams performance, it's easy for a mediocre one to get credit for playing behind a solid team. That's what I always thought Cechmanek's deal was.

Why so many goalies on the list?As easy as it is for a good goalie to get the blame for a bad teams performance, it's easy for a mediocre one to get credit for playing behind a solid team. That's what I always thought Cechmanek's deal was. His problem was playing for a team that couldn't score in the playoffs. His GAA and save percentage were both very good. Why so many goalies on the list?As easy as it is for a good goalie to get the blame for a bad teams performance, it's easy for a mediocre one to get credit for playing behind a solid team. That's what I always thought Cechmanek's deal was.and because if a goalie stops performing well he loses his starting job and hardly gets playing time, while a skater might only drop to the second or third line and lose a little time. When goalies go from playing every game to like once every week or two, it's easy to forget about them.Another one Patrick Lalime

kosydar 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2008 His numbers this year haven't been bad, either. .909 sv %, 2.41 gaa, 10-7-1. Not too shabby for a backup on a 13th place team. I always thought that he was blamed for his team's (Ottawa) shortcomings, where there were other problems as well. Kind of like Cloutier in Vancouver, except he is just garbage. Lalime was the victim of a bad system as well as tactical mistakes om the part of his coach. You have a young, deep team playing against an old Leafs team. Do you: A. Try to run them out of the rink by using your youth and energy or B. Try to slow down the pace and win every game by one goal?
