N!! 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2008 What ever happened to Bill Muckalt? Did he get hurt or something?Muckalt dislocated his shoulder and suffered a lesion to the brachial plexus when he was with Minnesota. I think there was something else to it; it may have been a fracture to the joint and/or a labrum tear, but I may be wrong. In any case, it was a pretty serious injury and he hasn't played since.(By the way, since I haven't caused any problems or anything, can I please be unmoderated? It's got to be a bit annoying to monitor and approve everything I type, none of which is remotely offensive or problematic)

RadioGaGa 162 Report post Posted March 27, 2008 Anyone remember John Druce?I've heard the story. He doesn't even qualify as a full season one season wonder...his success was all playoffs one year wasn't it?
gxc999 7 Report post Posted March 27, 2008 Anyone remember John Druce?I've heard the story. He doesn't even qualify as a full season one season wonder...his success was all playoffs one year wasn't it?I tend to think a good two-month playoff run can suffice to make someone a one-hit wonder. But to be fair, if a player doesn't get much ice time in the regular season, he'll probably be more refreshed for the post-season, so maybe it's not a true one-hit wonder... N!! 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2008 Druce's career playoff line without 89-90....38 games, 3 goals, 3 assists (6 pts), 15 PIM89-90 alone...15 games, 14 goals, 3 assists (17 pts), 23 PIMThe crazier thing is that he only topped 14 goals three times in a regular season, with 22 being the highest. QandA 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2008 After watching the Summit Series documentary, the older members might be more knowledgeable, but Vic Hadfield had a 50 goal, 100 point season, and than nothing more than 65***edit 73 points.

QandA 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2008 what do you guys think about Brian Lawton?Bust. He never had a "hit" season to fit in this thread really.
Bravada 442 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2008 How about Rico Fata? Bounced around, had a decent year with the Pens in 03/04 when they were absolutely horrific with 16G 18A in 63 games.I thought maybe if he got some talent around him he could be a solid 25G 55-60Pt guy, but then came out with the Pens in 05-06 and didn't have a single POINT in 20 games. chippa13 1844 Report post Posted March 27, 2008 I don't think a 34 point season qualifies as a "hit".
hamstercaster 2 Report post Posted March 27, 2008 I don't think the type of player Nash is (goal scorer, good at it but not much else it seems) is going to make those around him better. It's easier for a playmaker to make those around him better since they're adept at setting people up, but a goal-scorer can either do it on his own (which he's done) or with some help (which I don't think he's gotten much of). I can't say I've seen many of their games, but has he had a really good centre on his line? I can't think of any solid centre Columbus has had. At least not ones good at anything offence-related.I didn't use to like him much or even respect him. I also thought he was overrated until I saw him live in Ottawa in a gamge the Jackets won... thanks in part to Emery's sucky play but that's another story. He's deceivly fast for a man his size and did it pretty much all that night, except passing. He can hit, he can score and he has wheels and I think that if he could get a good playmaker with him, he could do wonders. Zherdev though was all the contrary. He's freaking fast but gutless and heartless. The guy looked like he could go from end to end everytime he had the puck but there was always something that prevented him to do that and usually it was due to a bad decision on the rush and the play would die rather quickly...so as a matter of fact my picks would include perhaps Emery and Zherdev... Emery, a really good season last year, a stanley cup run and this year.... Zherdev, on his parts never really got a great season except for his first on one who wasn't too bad for a rookie but he's done shit ever since.

mack 44 Report post Posted March 30, 2008 Fat Balloon was mentioned earlier and as far as Bonsignore goes, he falls under the "never had a hit" category.

I remember watching Rico in junior with London when everyone I know seemed to think he was god's gift to hockey. Now not so much.
