Ian Laperriere just had a cheap hit on Lidstrom, and now hes hurt...

they are saying his knee but he got up pretty wozzy and i think there could be a concussion also...

i think Laperriere should get a suspension...his elbow was definetly way up

Elbow was a bit high, Lids was dazed a bit. His right knee looked like it buckled a bit.

It's been a pretty equal game as far as brutality... I wouldn't call anything besides that last act really dirty. But I've been watching off and on.

It's been kinda nuts. Laperierre went after Downey with his stick high so Downey reciprocated, McLeod went in there, started swinging at guys on the bench, the coaches screaming off at each other, 46 penalty minutes to 3 guys on one play.

Downey and Laperierre will be on the ice again to settle it I think. They were talking a lot to each other while in the box.

i was watching the game and it honestly looked like a clean hit to me - if they hit knees it was accidental not intentional.

somehow i think it was a little bit more than just a knee problem though - lidstrom almost looked like ronnie francis/sami kapanen trying to go back to the bench there. good thing the referee helped him along otherwise he might have went down hard.

i hope he is ok!

Hit wasn't dirty imo, definitely looked like knee issue to me though. Now that I think about it hopefully it was just his kneepad shifting sideways making it look a lot worse than it was. A concussion wouldn't be much better though.

Of all the players too, Laperriere is such a douche. I hated him on the kings and hate him on the avs too. Just another mouth on skates that can't back it up. Wouldn't have been as difficult to take had it been someone on the avs that I can at least respect.

Who the douche was is Zetterberg, nice choke hold around the neck with his stick on McLeod. I mean seriously, who chokes someone with their stick in the middle of a scrap? Granted its Zetterberg but I think someone else should have pulled him off and fed him for that bullshit.

What was really funny watching that in HD was the look on Zetterberg's face when he realized what he was doing. He looked like he was trying to "wrench" McLeod off of him (dumb) because he wasn't strong enough to pull him off... then realized what he was doing and tried to pull his stick off and just made it worse. I know he's trying to defend his teammates but he should just stick to pushing...

and McLeod should have been pulled into over the bench and wailed on.. seriously, swinging your stick at guys on the bench?
