Hey guys I have found a curve that works real well for me, but cannot find any more of these blades. It looks to me like it is a mid-heel but I have no idea of the lie whatsoever. I'm not too good with specs on blades, but reading this site for awhile I know most of you would know off the top of your head. If any of you know very similair blades in different brands please let me know. Also for those who know the specs would you please post them for me?

Not to be a smart ass but I think that lie is a lil off for u, judging from the 1st pic it looks to be wearing mostly at the heel.

Yes most of the wear is at the heel, but I am more concerned about the curve. Even as it appears the lie is a little off for me, it still seems to be the blade I've overally played well with the best. I am not sure what the lie is but if anyone knows it would help me better understand what lie to look for, for future blades.

Best way to determine the lie is to compare to retail models that you already know the lie of.

Damn, if you put that up a month earlier, my brother gave me a bunch, like 6 of that exact old easton pattern. I custom curved 3 and sold 3 to my friend for 5 bucks.

Well I just compared my modano z carb and the samsonov. My modano is already in a shaft so I lined up the hosel seeing as both of them are long hoseled blades, and with the butt end of the shaft touching the ground the samsonov was apox. 1 cm high then the modano at the beginning of the heel. So what does that mean? Does it mean that the samsonov is lower then a 5.5 lie or higher. Sorry if my description made no sense at all, but I tried ;)

Oh he got them a while ago, try looking around in play it again sports. Companies sometimes practically give old items away to second hand stores.

You should line them up at the heel to get a good estimate. The two blades may be different lengths so lining them up at the hosel might not be very accurate. If they are both pretty much the same length however, my guess is that the samsonov is around a 6 if it's actually 1 cm higher from the heel.

I don't remember Easton's weave looking like that since their old pro blades that came in their first sets of shafts.

Then does it mean its a GI blade? Because Samsonov is RH and he wasnt playing in the NHL when those shafts came out.

I want to say that, but even when he was a rookie that type of blade was long obsolete. Unless of course he had them when he was in Europe which is a possibility. I mean that weave is what came on the old pro Roenicks, Granatos, Leetchs, etc. from about 10+ years ago.
