Mission skates and sticks.

Recommended Posts

- i used the mission ti pro and it was crazy especially for wristshots. I wanna know though if it is durable. Same with the 120 AG skate and is it light? I cant find it in my city. Any info would be appreciated.

its got a 60 day warranty so it must be pretty durable if mission will stand behind it's product for twice as long as the competitor, it being reinforced with titanium may have something to do with it...

the mission ti pro has a 60 day warranty i believe on it with the titanium inserts into the blade + shaft it should hold up pretty nicely>

the 120ag skates aren't the lightest skates on the market, but it does come with a full one year warranty on everything of the skate.

The 120 AG is a light skate but there are lighter models on the market. I find the high end Vapors and Vectors lighter and of course the high end Eastons are untouchable for lightness. The 120 is just a different feel from others on the market and a little more flexable even though it has decent stiffness lower in the ankle area. I think its more like a Graf than other models on the market but of course not as good a quality. This is not to say their not a good skate and they are very durable. If you like the feel of Missions they are a great skate, the top of Mission's line. Missions are definitely not for me, I prefer a wider boot (ie CCM,Nike/Bauer Vapor or Graf 735 wide) but they are a great skate if they fit your feet.

the Mission Ti Pro and Ti BOTH have 60 warranties. Mission AG skates have multiple internal seams that allow the boot to really shape to YOUR foot ( this ability to shape your foot is much greater of many competitors ). it is a lower cut boot with offset ankle cuffs to fit your foot better. the lower cut allows you to really bend your knees for cornering and get a much better stride extension for top speed. there are not alot of foams in the boot as it is a close to the foot fit. we avoid the overuse of foams since they slow energy transfer ( ever run in sand??? ). there are some videos about the boot on the website- check em!

I haven't skated in the 120AGs, but I've heard that they are supposed to be great. I've had my old L7s for over a year now (skating on average 1-3 times/wk), and they have held up beautifully (I'm aware that it is a very different skate than the 120AGs). I can not say enough good things about Mission skates. When I bought my L7s, I also tried on a lot of the other Mission skates, and I thought the build quality was very impressive on all of them (both XP and AG lines). The steel is fantastic, and the holder is top-notch (Pitch3). I doubt the Mission skates are the lightest skate, but if they fit your foot properly I bet you'll love 'em. I could not find any other skate that fit anywhere near as good as my L7s, regardless of price. Very durable, good balance of stiffness and flexibility, great feel, and very light weight.

I've been skating in a Fuel 90AG for about 2 weeks now... With my needy feet, I didn't think they would work, as prior to the Fuel - I've had no luck fitting in RBK, Easton, and Bauer (with the exception of Flexlites).... I'm anxiously awaiting my LHS to get the AGX in, as I'll be upgrading my 90AG's....and probably ditching my Flexlites.

the sticks have always been good

I have also been extremely satisfied with Mission OPS'.. I've unloaded my Warriors, Eastons, RBKs and Sherwoods to make room for more Missions. Probably the best feeling sticks I've used.

Actually, I have found the opposite. The new ones are an improvement though.

I completely agree. As someone who's loved the Mission skates and protective gear for a while, I haven't ever really liked their sticks. Everyone seems to love the TI though...

I liked the M-1 and L-2 but have been disappointed with anything that came after.

True. The Hex-1 was a complete disappointment IMO. Blade went soft in two months, and then was reduced to a noodle. Haven't used a Mission stick since, however the Ti Pro interests me, just need to get stronger.

Wasn't the V-Hex blades supposed to be improved over the Hex-1 blades by adding the perimeter cord? Did this actually work to prevent the blades from going soft as quickly?

I picked up a fuel ti a few weeks ago and i love it. Very durable i have taken some hacks and theres no even a chip in the paint from it. Great puck feel, and it shoots very nicely.
