KOR sticks

Recommended Posts

Are there sticks available under the Kor brand name? I believe someone stated that Kor makes sticks for other brands. I saw a few of them at the Expo in St. Paul along with Trilage. Both had a nice feel to them..

Hoffer, the MSRP on the sticks are:

CX3 = $100.00

ZX4 = $150.00

45 day warranty on both; 4 flexes; finalizing the curves. Slight changes will be forthcoming from the information that is out there on them. When I finalize these, I will post.

SRI do you have any clue how much these sticks will cost?

What about in Canada?

I was quite interested when I last heard about these on the board. This is cool to hear. Looking forward to any updates.

I'm still working at softening up my Shift 1's, but the composite technology in the skate is fantastic. I'm really looking forward to trying one of these out when available. Have you selected your distributors yet for carrying the product?

The one in the picture is a 99 flex grip drury pattern. I've used it twice and liked it. I would like to try out a non-grip one when I can get my hands on it. Overall the stick has a good feel to it and my shots felt great.

My brain just can't seem to figure this out ....

I read the user name of Trudy and then I see a picture of Theo ... It makes me think his name is Trudy?!? Don't ask me why ... it just seems to be a short cut in my head.

If curves are still in the air on the Kor sticks ... any chance of a Shanny/P10 on the way? I figure if you sell all the standard curves (Sakic, Forsberg, Lidstrom, Iggy) .. then why would someone buy Kor over other sticks? Without the needs for all the "feels like wood but performs like a one piece" or "best shooting stick ever" that all companies try and claim.

If you sell the curves we miss ... or a 90 flex .... then the hockey playing world may all give them a whirl ... and bingo bango your ruling the world! Cos I am sure it is that simple ; )

Would I be right that most new start up/new entrant companies into a particular area of the hockey manufacturing market need to get a good portion of sales quickly to boost initial revenues to encourage continued investment/faith/R&D etc etc.

The USP's of the sticks, if they are technology based is this really a big deal for sales? E.g. Spyn in Warrior blades, VDS in Mission blades has that helped them sell that many units? I still haven't seen one of either stick in anyone's hands. Better selling points would be flex options and patterns we all miss/love. Pick up where the bigger boys may have dropped the ball

Off topic:

Would it help if I changed my avatar? Haha just kidding I could never. I would love to look like that man, the legend that he is. I am missing the same front tooth as him and sport the same jersey number in college. I love Theo (not in a homosexual way).

On topic:

Im sure SRI will answer a lot of those questions for you.

I will give these sticks a shot at some point (hoping for an Iggy curve. I'm a huge fan of the company. I've owned their Shift 1 and now Shift 2 skates and I am hugely impressed. Their customer service is even better than the product itself.

This is a great company!

Thanks for answering all of the questions that have been posted in the thread thus far. I do have a couple more for you though....are you able to list the online retailers that will be carrying your product? Is there a pre-order list that any of them may also have? Do you have an anticipated launch date currently? I ask as I would love to pick one up as soon as they are available and start to do some work spreading the good word about KOR. ;)

We will have four flex options (65/75/85/100) and three curves to start. If we feel the need to add new curves, then, we will. We need to walk before we can run with our own brand. This three year old company is truly just beginning in many respects. I've approached this as if it just getting off the ground from day one.

SRI,

Just a suggestion since this thread will probably become the main topic for KOR sticks, can you give us a little more of a FAQ on KOR Sticks and their products. Just stuff that may help people that are not to familiar with the brand. What the sticks feel like shooting/passing wise (your personal opinion or others). Or how do they compare to other sticks in the market place (similiar or totally different). Some history on Kor's other OEM stick products. Anything else you feel is relevant or needed.

Is there a dealer lined up for NorCal? Sharks Ice SJ, EWH, HockeyXport, Skatetown?

Companies should invest more in graphic design. That stick looks brutal.

Sticks looks just fine to me.

The graphics don't compare favorably to other manufacturers and that's the second biggest factor in customers buying a stick. Brand recognition is number one.
