Ok. Lets bump this. Frozen Four tonight. Hopefully the Sioux can get the big BC monkey off there back and win this game.

I think Notre Dame is going to get demolished. I go to Miami (OH) and while I thought we were a little overrated, we got smoked by Michigan. Even when the games were close it still felt like we were severely outclassed. Miami didn't have much trouble with the Irish so I think this could get ugly...of course it's hockey so who the hell knows...

ND v. BC is tougher to call. I'll give the edge to BC.

I'm just glad the games are on the deuce so I can watch at work.

There is no reason the Sioux cannot defeat the Eagles..On paper they are more talented, but in a single elimination format..anything can happen..Look at Michigan State last year..Obviously not the most talented team in the tourney (or even in their own state) but got hot at the right time. It helps to have a stellar goalie too

Wow, I hope that "Fighting" is no longer part of UND's nickname. It should be something like "Presenting" or "Spreading."

What in the heck is going on? I'm not at home, so I can see the score is 3-0, but am not watching the game. Is the score reflective of the play, or is there more to it than meets the eye?

I was watching just to kill time before real hockey started and BC is skating all over the place. There were a couple good chances for UND on the PP but this Gerbe(?) kid is killing them.

Wow. Good to know. So tonight is better spent watching Calgary/San Jose, part II and Ovechkin's playoff debut...

My bad--Washington is not playing tonight. Apologies if I sent anybody astray.

5-0 at the midpoint. I think this qualifies as a classic bed-wetting. Is there a mercy rule in the NCAA?!

Gerbe now with the trick and an assist.. He is unbelievable and it is now 6 - 0 BC

I wish there was a mercy rule. This is embarrassing. Right now I just wish they would have lost to Wisconsin and saved me the pain of seeing this.

im not a walmart wolverine or anything, but i was a little annoyed with how espn tagged u of m as "the giant" and "the favorites". if i remember correctly the pre season ccha poll had michigan slated to finish 4th or 5th, in the league. and i think the numbers are something like 2 seniors and 12 freshman on this years team, doesnt seem like much of a giant to me. besides from thinking jeff jackson is a huge prick i hope notre dame takes it all. oh and does anyone else think ray ferraro should never have anything to do with college hockey again? (or any hockey for that matter)

Warrior I agree, Ferraro was terrible. If it wasn't for Thorne I would have muted it. As for the game, GREAT game and I went crazy when Notre Dame ended it. Living less than an hour and a half from South Bend I got to see Notre Dame up close on more than a few occasions this season at the Joyce Center and they are a great team. There are those guys that still gave ND credit for what they did last year but I think this year's team is by far better and it shows. Great game by both teams but let's go ND v.s. BC which should be another hell of a game.

Michigan still had one of their most talented teams..Young as they may be, they're loaded with talent this year.. Anything can happen in single elmination tournaments. Notre Dame probably doesnt have the "talent" Michigan has on paper, but they certainly had a better team at the end of the game tonight...One of the double edged swords teams like Michigan or Minnesota face when recruiting 1st round draft picks..You'll always be young because you lose players after a year or two to the NHL or other pro leagues.

cds, Sauer got chased out after the 1st. He let 3 in the first and didn't play the rest of the game. I too am a huge Avs fan and while that period didn't look good, he's had a great season so I think he'll be more than fine.

I don't know how a #1 ranked team is anything but a "giant" when facing a #12 ranked team.
