Endure / Endure 2 Sticks

Recommended Posts

i was thinking about picking up one of these sticks just cause they're selling for $55, which seems like a bargain, and they have my pattern. i'm using 87 flex vapor XVI sticks now, but i was thinking about trying a 77 endure. is this just a big heavy piece of trash?

If I was going to use a pricepoint OPS, I would go with the endure. I have seen many people easily snap other pricepoint OPS, but the endure seems to hold up well around the rink/

My brother bought an Endure shaft hoping it would hold up. It completely splintered apart right in the "re-infornced slash zone" about a month into owning it.

We've been getting a few snapped Endures back in our store within the past couple months.... though that's not anything to really say about their durability, since they are on clearance and have been selling like mad.

BUT....

for all those who send their snapped, warranty-covered Endures back to NBH, there's a really good chance you'll get back a XXXX or a One90. It's already happened 4 or 5 times within the past few weeks.

that alone seems like justification for buying one! sold.

I saw those endure sticks for sale cheap on one of the big website recently. It's the same stick that was probably a couple hundred bucks last season. I really liked the feel of them because the rubber on the shaft sort of had a dampening effect. I'd buy one if I didn't already have enough sticks to last a while.

The Endure had this piece of rubber but I believe the Endure 2 did not. Just FYI

what about the endure 2 makes it worse than the regular endure? the endure is $55 (retail 200) and the endure 2 is $60 (retail 190)... anyone have any idea what they weigh? if it's much heavier than my XVI, i probably wont like it.

The Endure weighs 470g and was one of Bauer's top sticks, sharing a high price point with the XX grip (yellow), while the Endure II is a low pricepoint that weighs over 500g.

Endure - tank, performs pretty good

Endure 2 - sucks

That about sums it up. I had a buddy on my midget team who still has 3 of the originals from when they first came out that he loves, but the Endure 2's weren't nearly as good.

endure 2 is a completely different stick. Endure is on closeout.

both models are actually on closeout at basically the same price, but it sounds like i'll go for the endure, not the endure 2. 470g isnt bad at all... that's probably lighter than my vapor xvi sticks. are they 60" like the vapors?

crap! sometime today they removed the endure sticks from their website! now they only have endure 2. this makes me a very sad panda. i was just about to order 2 of them!!!!!

I had the endure with the team canada paint on it. It was heavy as hell but it lasted twice as long as my easton synergy.

The navy blue XXX was the top of the line stick at the time. Then, at least at my LHS, the Endure and XX grip shared the next pricepoint. It wasn't the top Bauer stick, but it was far from the bottom.

Don't hold me to this but I'm almost certain that the Vapor VIII is the same stick as the Endure 2 with different graphics, to give you an idea where it stands in the NBH heirarchy.

I have an Endure 2 and used it for awhile in beer leagues. I've since retired it to use for stickhandling practice. Decent stick. Heavy sucker. There appears to be metal screen at the slash zones which I guess is supposed to make it more durable. I did a review in the review section.

I have 2 Endure shafts and they're my backups to my Ultralite. They're decent sticks, very sturdy. Not NHL calibre, but perfect for a beer leaguer who is looking for a decently priced composite shaft that will last a few seasons.

Edit- Oh wait, one of them did break towards the hosel after maybe a dozen games, but I cut it and reinserted a blade and it's fine.

oh really? what was it then?

More like an experiment.

Anyone notice I said performance was "pretty good" that means almost good. I guess it would be comparable to the ST in the NBH lineup, just not as good and probably heavier.
