What's being said between players during roughing

Recommended Posts

I'd love it if someone came out with an uncensored DVD with all the stuff they can't play on the networks when the guys are mic'd up. All you ever hear is Nice play Jonsey! Here we go boys! Wooo Hooo!

In all honesty I would love to set up a mic inbetween the two benches to hear the stuff that gets said from side to side. I've personally seen Riley Cote and Mike Richards lean over the bench and yell at the other bench. Would love to say what Cote has to say when he stirs the pot out there too.

Probably something along the lines of "Shut the hell up faggot, Sean Avery kicked your ass too!"

I think it's hilarious on cable tv when the mics pick up all the fowl language during games but it is even better when you just see them mouthing it instead of hearing it. Like a coach or player yelling Fuck You

One thing I would have liked to hear was the conversation that Drury and Crosby were having while they waited for a puck drop on Sunday. They were nose to nose for the draw and chatting it up quite a bit, I'm sure Sid wasn't getting Mrs. Drury's recipe for meatloaf.

That reminds me of when I was playing baseball, I would blow kisses or wink at the pitcher. Needless to say they would get weirded out that they either threw the ball down the middle for me to smack or he'd throw it really really wild. Or when I would pitch I'd wink at the batters before I would throw the ball and man you should see someone swing when they don't know what to do....it isn't pretty but sure is funnier than hell

I wish North American censors weren't so hung up on swearing. That stuff is heard all over the place in the real world. The language in my work place is ridiculously filthy most of the time. But, I'm always surprised when I'm in the Mall, or in a conversation with someone from outside of my normal group, and I am being careful to watch MY language and all of a sudden they drop an "F" that I'm not expecting.

I wish this stuff could just air as is. But, instead...you've got play by play guys apologizing for it...or drawing EXTRA attention to it. "Oh, you heard something you shouldn't have...teehee...Let's turn Pierre's mic back on and see if it's calmed down ("ef you...blah blah blah")..."Oh, it hasn't...teehee"

I get that you can't have DJ's dropping F-bombs between Celine Dion records on regular radio....but when the language is part of the nature or environment of the game/event. I wish it could just be allowed.

I agree, I worked at a Crabby Joe's and the language was pathetic..You would get accustum to speaking that way, so as he said when in a mall, you have to think about what you are saying.

DJs have some of the worst language outside of sports when the mic is turned off.

It is probably because most parents don't want little Billy or Suzie talking like a truck driver.

haha, hockey makes emotions run very high

I loved it when someone on the penguins bench called poti a fucking nerd when he was handling the puck on the blueline.

I hate north american censors, it's stupid.

The only time ir eally watch my language is around my grandparents and girls, it's always suprising when i hear a classy girl swear though.

I was at an OHL playoff game, all the London Knights were yapping at Drew Doughty, swearing and mouthing. I thought it was rather funny!

For some reason, calling guys 'Annie' as I donkey-punch them in front of the net always gets a little reaction.
