Pro Equipment Sales

Recommended Posts

just heard on the radio today, canucks is beginning of june.

i think they said june 6th, not 100% sure tho

June 6, STH will get in at 9am, Canucks Email members 1 hour later, General public another hour after that.

I haven't seen anywhere else posted other than 11 am start. Is it any Canucks e-mail member that this applies to (Canucks E-news members)? Or is it something else, you said 'Inside Edge', what is that? Thanks for your help.

11am is when the General Public get into the sale. I'm pretty sure E-News is the same thing as Inside Edge, just like how people still call the Team Store Authentix. They usually send out the email a few days before the sale. You'll have to print it out and show it to the host at the door to get in at 10am.

Sorry guys, prefer not to answer PM's this time around. Let's keep it in this thread.

Regardless if you're STH, Inside Edge or General Public you have to line up and enter through Gate 7. If you're a STH you have to show your Canucks Card. I don't know what time people start lining up... any STH's on here? I'm guessing you'd have to be there by at least 7am to be the first few in. I hear there's going to be a strict limit on sticks this year. Might be 3 sticks per adult or they might lower it down to 2. This is to prevent resellers from bringing 5 kids with them and buying a ton of sticks. Sucks for the kids who actually want a stick to display in their room.

Usual rules apply... anybody caught selling sticks to others while still in the sale or hoarding sticks will be kicked out immediately...

Yeah im going to have to ask around locally here, i would love to get a hold of a right hand toe curve stick. anyone a season ticket holder in Vancouver?

You've got really a low chance of getting anything like that out of a Canuck sale. Sundin, Hansen, Wellwood blades, Salo, Kesler, Bernier are the righties and I can tell you none of them except for maybe Hansen use a toe :(

used/signed gloves where around $200

new gloves $90-$120

New sticks $ 175

used sticks $$120-$200

Are those prices pretty standard for Pro equipement sales? Kind of expensive, I hope the prices will be cheaper than that at the Islander sales.

Caps rookie training camp begins July 12, equipment sale is on the saturday that rookie camp concludes, so will be July 18 this year

You going Smoke? I am going to try and grab some gloves this year as mine have about seen their limit. Let me know.

I am assuming it's going to be crazy so maybe we can split up and try to get some stuff. Trying to explain to my GF what a RH curve was ... got very interesting haha.

I'm going to try to make it, if i can't I'm trying to get some of the guys on my teams pick me up something.

But if I can make it, we can try to co-ordinate to make sure we are both covered for what we are lookingfor

Im a huge caps fan but i live in canada do you think i could work a deal with any of you guys for some gloves and sticks for me and little handling fees for any of you guys on the side

No, I was at the Stars sale and most sticks were $46, except Brendan Morrows which were $92. I got 2 dolomite spynes, a dolomite, and a U+, all were $46 each and looked brand new, no puck marks on the tape.

Do you have an idea what you are looking for? Any of the big name players are probably going to be close to impossible to get some of. While a lot of them won't be taking their stuff this year there are a LOT more season ticket holders (in fact we are 100% full for season ticket holders) and they get first cracks.

I am a Canucks E-News member too and I haven't received any e-mails regarding early entry to the equipment sale. Any other Canucks fans else get any e-mails?

Interesting. When I was there the person working the shop said they had the team sale the prior weekend which is why their selection was not very good.

Ok, maybe she thought I meant the Colorado Mamoth equipment sale? ;)

Thats a possibility, I have called the Avs people numerous times and sent a few emails, but have found nobody that has a clue what they're talking about.

EDIT: I just went through the registration process for the Avs forum (due to the fact that I wasn't allowed to use the search function and still cant even though I registered) and there seems to be no update about a sale this year. I may just make a post and take the crap for not searching even though I made an honest effort.

Does anyone have news on the Avalanche sale? I've been following the Avs forum topic but like you said, no info really on when the sale will be. I signed up for their newsletter awhile ago but haven't seen anything in that either.

Looks like you were right, Saturday is open to the public :

Are there any deals to be made at these pro equipment sales? I'm thinking equipment like, gloves, sticks, skates (size 7), etc. Especially on Saturday when it's open to the public?

I talked to them recently and they said there will be no equipment sale this year. However, they will still sell that very small corner of crappy sticks in Altitude Authentics. They may get some more inventory in during the summer, but it is not likely. That is the reason I sprung for a one95 on ebay.

This is interesting... never saw liles use a one95 during the season... and wonder how he got it. The seller is in phoenix, but he gets a ton of pro stock stuff to sell, so he must know the right people.

Good idea on the oilers part to have everything signed and increase price, unfortunate for those of us looking for equipment and not memorabelia

yeah, I got all excited there myself. Seriously after working in a hockey shop as long as I have, there is only two pieces of equipment I really want at this point and one of them is an Oilers shell/pants. :(
