Pro Equipment Sales

Recommended Posts

are the avs gonna have one?

A couple pages back someone had posted that they had an announcement on thier website that it would be 6/21. But the date and the day of the week aren't right for June 2010. It seems they have just left the announcement from 2008 on there.

So in other words, undertermined right now.

Oilers sale is this Saturday, 11am-1:30pm at Rexall. I can't drive up this weekend, I really wanted a pair of retro gloves, but 13 inch would have been limited anyways.

If you go and buy some retro socks, please PM, I will buy.

for the few who are stuck in the non-hockey supportive south, the charlotte checkers are having a sale saturday. Everything is up for sale b/c the team is changing colors and moving up to the AHL next year. From what I've heard, new sticks are $50, gloves $30-40, helmets $20-30. Saturday at extreme ice from 12-6pm. and just my luck, I have to work 8-5!

Have you been?

Anything besides RBK stuff? I know it'll be all RBK gloves and helments. Really want some S19 sticks and totalone skates.

Thanks!

Edit:

Just looking at the game photos it looks like they are 10K, O-stick, and CCM U+ only. And all the 10k's look like 2 pieces. Damn, tight budget.

Buddy of mine got me in last night. All rbk and ccm gear. 1 pair of vapor 40's. size 9 i think.. They had ops and shafts. for the prices, I converted ;)

Walked out with 2 pairs of new pants (rbk), new v08 helmet with visor, extra oakley visor, 2 pratice jerseys, bag, 10k ops, ($180 FOR ALL)

buddy got 2 pairs of new pants, 2 pairs of 9k gloves still in the bags, 8k helmet and visor( still in box), 2-10k ops', 2 practice jerseys, a bag, and a few pairs of socks.

No total ones yet, prob next year. nothing easton or bauer but a lot of clones and a few custom patterns for a few of the guys who left them. If your a lefty, of course there's a better selection. If your close by, it's worth the drive. I'm not a huge ccm/rbk fan, but for the prices I'll give them a shot. Hoping for more Bauer next year

The Ducks sale was fun. First equipment sale I've been to so I wasn't sure what to expect. Waited outside for about 2 hours while the season ticket holders got to pick the big name game used stuff.

There was a 5 item limit, which was probably good for me inthe long run, although once I was in, I wished it could have been waved. lol

Everything I got is brand new in the bags.

Warrior Franchise gloves

Reebok 4 roll style gloves

2 Warrior Dolomites

1 ONE90 shaft

They had a TON of sticks. I wish I was a lefty though! Huge selection for the lefties. Huge selection of gloves. Tons of Eastons, A lot of reeboks, A couple Warriors, A couple Bauers Hundreds of helmets, random pads here and there, some bags, some skates here and there. COuple pairs of Finland Olympic gloves. Found a bundle of probably 12 Koivu CCM sticks that looked brand new, but marked NFG on the whole bundle, not sure why. A huge bundle of 10Ks with fused wood blades. yuck. Couple Parros Trilages. Found a pair of Blake XXXX gloves I was considering. Leafs leftovers that were badly dyed black. lol

All in all, pretty sweet.

Yesterday was my 4th Ducks sale. Of all of them, yesterday's was the best. I think the 5 item limit really helped so that more people could get more stuff instead of all the good items going to a handful of people. Even still, there was a couple inside hoarding a bunch of stuff claiming that "we've got people coming in later" which seemed like crap to me.

The overall quantity of items was much much much better than last year. In previous years, I've waited in line for hours only to miss out on that initial wave of entrants and come in just 10 minutes later to find all the right-handed sticks gone. The limit seemed to have remedied that quite a bit. There's always a nice selection of skates and protective equipment.

For myself, I only copped a couple Dolomite sticks and called it a day. Taste of Anaheim was going on at the same time.
