I hate doing that crap. Its kinda boring IMO. I went to the Cabaret club and saw one funny thing, the rest of it was like WTF.

Taking michelle on dates and getting my ass kicked at pool and bowling is no fun, but I did score with her though :)

edit: Trying to drive drunk is super awesome though lol

Well it is important, you get special perks with your friends.

Roman - free cabs

Jacob - guns

Packie - carbombs

Brucie - free chopper rides

Dwayne - backup (will send 3 guys to help you out)

You can date two girls by going on the online dating thing that will get you a health boost and clear wanted level.

Just attempted the mission where you kill the drug dealers for Manny (I think) and the son ova froze on me just before I finished it and now I gotta re-do abunch of missions, this is really gonna turn into a NFS game where I throw a stress and break my controller :(

It's also annoying when I'm trying to put the game down and go to save it and someone rings me, before I know it I've answerd the phone and I can't stand the thought of dissapointing my GTA girlfriend so I end up doing another string of things...

And just like that GTA and NHL 2k8 have turned my weekend into one big sofa groove and a floor coverd with chocolate bar wrappers. Life is good.

That was a hard mission. That one and then one that you have to get the drugs for Elizabeta also sucked...took me forever to beat that one.

I'm stuck on the old hotel mission getting Elizabetha's coke back as well. Got killed once, arrested once, game froze once, started doing other missions.

Get a somewhat fast car and park it next to the truck. It's hard as hell outrunning the cops in the truck. It's easy getting the coke, evading the cops is the hard part. Just work your way out to the final wall and just run...just take the shots...jump in the car and take off.

Before the mission, there's some body armor nearby. On the way to the hospital (which is Roosevelt Island BTW) pass the hospital and keep on driving straight. It ends at the cemetery - stay on your left and drive down the alley. Once you get to the end of the cemetery, there's a grave in the corner that has an angel headstone. Hop over the wall - there's body armor right behind it.

There'll be one mission that you will be "interested" in a car.

You get the Comet for winning your first race - suggest you save it in your parking spot because they're rare. Once you get the second safehouse in Algonquin there is a Turismo dealership a block away. You can walk in and steal a car, then have to evade the 1 star rating. There's another mission that you get an Infernus after you complete it.

Once you drive a nice car, the nicer ones spawn.

Another way to get the nice cars are on the text message missions. Steal the car, take it to the safehouse, then go back and steal the car again and take it to the garage. I was able to get multiple ones like that.

I was having the GTA effect pretty bad last night. Got the Comet from Brucie's race and I flipped it. Before I had a chance to kick myself I noticed one parked next to me, and when I got to the safehouse there were literally 6 of them stagger parked on the street. Same thing happened when I stole a Turismo from the dealer then was riding a chopper later on.

I've only got the second safehouse yet, but there's a Comet, Banshee convertible, Turismo and PMP-900 parked outside.

I found a good way to beat the Elizabetha mission where you have to get her coke from the old hotel. I stole a Turismo on the way and maxed out on ammo and health/armor before I showed up. Still had to use the pickup health and armor in the place though.

I spent a good hour trying to become friends with LJ so I can buy guns. I did 8 drug deal missions and took him to the bar, still no dice. Do you need to complete the storyline with him first?

How much percent does Little Jacob have to like you so you can buy guns off of him and same with Packie and the carbombs.

I just went out with him a few times and did 1 of the drug runs for him.

Stuck on the stripclub mission now for Dwayne, not majorly stuck but it's just the time it takes to get there and then die and retry etc. that bugging me.

Did anyone do the "Holland Nights" mission properly? I got on to the roof with him once and executed him and then got surrounded by cops on the way down and died, next time I did it I just sniped him from the street outside which I thought was pretty damn sneaky of me! :D

No, you need to hang out with him, I think you need like 75% friendship.

I spared him and then he came back at me on the street later.

I ran across to the other building, killed like 3 cops, found my car and went to the nearby pay n spray.

Spent a little time browsing around. There is so much stuff online in IV that just screams out "unfinished content!" The lack of options is starting to bug me. Only 3 clothes stores, but everything except the sneakers in Modo is ugly as shit.

What am I supposed to spend my hundreds of thousands of dollars on? Cab rides and bridge tolls? I lost my Comet out of my parking spot and my 2 other cars are moved. They should have put in parking structures or underground garages or something less susceptible to traffic.

I'm almost ecstatic for GTA V though. I would hope that IV was a push in gameplay and detail where SA was polishing and beefing up VC. To think V will combine the story line aspects, detail, expansiveness and length of both SA and IV (fingers crossed).

That's my biggest complaint with the game, money has almost no value. BTW, you can't just get access to LJ's gun ability right after meeting him and going bowling a few times. You have to get through his side jobs etc... Also, this game is going to have multiple rounds of downloadable content and possibly even expansion packs for sale at retail stores, so we may see a whole helluva a lot more features in the next year or so.

And this is the decision that has to be made at the final level. I don't think it's a coincidence.

Thanks for the tips, I just gotta get myself outta that place, it's a friggin maze! 2 attempts so far, I'll give it another go later. Finding it REALLY hard not to just go online and find cheats, but then I'd always know it was a tainted win... :(

Took me days to beat that one...ugh

No, didn't get that achievement.

Like I said, hit the Turismo dealership on your way (it's right next to the Perseus in the middle of Algonquin) and use that for the escape. Kill EVERYONE on the way out so the cops don't pop your tires. Take your time leaving so you don't batter the car. Cash is expendable, go buy body armor and stock up on assault rifle ammo. Make sure you max out health and armor in the hospital as you leave, there's a vest and two health packs IIRC. Don't just run out, kill the 3 or 4 armored cops in the building, shoot whoever shows up. You won't go above 3 stars unless you sit and trash everything. Take the Turismo, get off the tiny Island and drive. Going past cops on foot at full speed usually doesn't let them see you, especially on a divided street.

I was looking at articles last night promising expanded content. If they add another island and beef up the stuff you can do in the game why didn't they do it at launch and have an incredible game? Instead the single player experience is far less than it could be.

I don't play multiplayer, either. I know a lot of the game development went into that, but I pretty much despise playing online. Too many 8 and 12 year old punks- you all know what I mean. It's just not fun unless you play right at launch when no one is any good.

I beat that Old Hospital mission in one try...I just killed all the bikers fairly easily, and ran out as fast as I could, shot maybe one or two cops on the way, got in a car and got away. Are you guys not playing with auto-aim or something?

I'm pretty sure there is body armour in the last room where you get the coke. If you are careful you should have mostly full life by the time you get there, then add on the body armour when you run out and the cops won't be able to kill you before you get to a car and get away.

Soooo pissed last night though, I played the mission where Roman is kidnapped and you got to rescue him, killed everybody, got all the way through, and then when we are walking out, for no reason he runs into me, trips and falls off the building and dies...have to do it all again.
