Montreal Question

Recommended Posts

Speaking of Montreal, are they still making the HG Magnum Pro gloves? Or were they bought over by Warrior like i heard?

kovy71- check with a local dealer. Last I checked their catalog wasn't getting yearly updates.

If you live in the states and a LHS has Tackla pants, they can get Montreal products, same US distributer.

Does anyone have access to the 2008 Montreal Catalogue? Is the Nitro lite player stick still being produced?

Montreal, going forward is not going to continue making the Nitro Lite unfortunately. The Nitro Force (the model they supply to the pro's) will be the top dog. The difference between the two models was so little it did not justify the higher price of the Lite. Watch for a significant upgrade in cosmetics as well. They will also be offering actual pro model goal sticks that Toskala, Biron etc use.

So the diffence between the two models isnt drastic?

The Force has a "mild" grip coating, while the Lite was slick and the Lite was "negligably" lighter due to a slightly different blade core and no-grip. The shafts are/were absolutely the same.

The Lite has the better core correct? The Force has an ABC core which I assume is like an ABS plastic?

They did, recently the Lites I have been receiving have had an ABS carbon glass reinforced blade, same as the Force's as well. Will hopefully know soon what the "new" ones will be made up of as well as the graphics package. They are currently working through the last of the "old" graphics and will phase in the new ones as needed, probably sometime around sept. Up here in Canada anyway.
