If it's close to a 12 hour period (morning to night), and they're kept out of a warm environment, they should be fine

If I were you, I'd get them sharpened, skate in the them during the day as much as possible to get used to them, and then play your game at night. Then I would bake them at a later time and give them 24 hours before skating again. It's just such a huge investment, I would just play it on the safe side like others have mentioned. It's only for one game anyway.

I'm sure it works if JR said it does.

But with any change in heat like that the more sudden the process takes place the more harmful to the material it will be. I'm assuming this would be the same with skates...

The warning card I got with my ONE95's says this...

TIME/TEMPERATURE GUIDELINES

Preheat oven to a max of 175 F/ 79 C and only heat for a max of 3 minutes.

Failing to comply with the above mentioned instructions can damage your skates.

HEATING LIMITS

This pair of skates is meant to be heated a max of 3 times.

Cooling period of fifteen (15) Minutes is recommended between each session. If required.

THERMAL ADJUSTMENT

You may stand straight up during the thermal adjustment. Do not walk or forward flex.

CAREFUL LACING

When lacing your skates after they have been heated, do not pull forcefully on the laces. This is especially important when tying up the top two eyelets on the skate. Do not forward flex while skates are still warm. WAIT AT LEAST 1 HOUR BEFORE SKATING (60 MINUTES).

Failing to comply with the above mentioned instructions and / or warnings for a Nike Bauer product shall render the Nike Bauer Hockey Inc. warranty Null and Void.

I do the freezer trick JR mentioned, does the trick, and it surely cools things off, and makes the cooling down process a lot, a lot quicker.

yo just got one95s,after i bake how long should i wait before using em?

You really should wait 24hrs from the time of baking. The boots have 90 day Warranties if i'm not mistaken. By using them before the 24hrs is up you risk damaging your boot. By this I mean the boot will probably deteriorate quicker!

This is true to a point, but we're not talking flash freezing here. It will take several minutes for the skates to go from out of the oven warm to cold in the freezer. If even that concerns you, let them come down in temperature for an hour and then toss them in the freezer for a couple hours.

I never got a card with my customs. But can I stand up in them right away, or do I need to sit down in them for a few mins first? I'm just confused because they call it "thermal adjustment period". Not sure if that period occurs as soon as they come out of the oven or not. Thanks in advance.

In addition, you're supposed to bake and wear one skate at a time, correct?

OK, JR says "yes", but I only thought the "one at a time" method was because LHS usually have an oven that can only bake one at a time....

I would think you should put on "one at a time" but don't stand up until you have both on because then your putting all your weight on one skate, which does not dupilcate "regular hockey conditions"....

No, the reason why they want you to do one at a time is so that you lace it up immediately. If you do both, the second one will cool down by the time you put it on.
