ramensandwich 1 Report post Posted August 2, 2008 Hi, all. I just broke a Bauer one90 stick. The blade snapped off. The break is approximately 1 inch below the infinity sign on the front of the shaft, where it says monocomp technology. Would I be able to somehow get a tapered blade back in it, or should I just flip it and put a standard blade in, or should I just trash it?This thing was pro stock and broke on the first ice time Also, would anyone have the dimensions of a tapered blade hosel on hand, so i can measure and double check it will fit before i order it?? (no LHS)

(no LHS)arent the infinity sign just on VaporXXX's? either way, i would imagine any tapered blade would work, its jsut a matter of cutting the shaft where it would fit (starting low, and working up by a 1/4")if i'm wrong, please anyone feel free to correct me:)

jrhky36 1 Report post Posted August 3, 2008 it is possible to turn it into a shaft. the one i'm selling takes tapered blades. cut small amounts off at a time. you will eventually get it were a tapered blade fits in. the problem is there is no fuse point b/c its a true ops. mickz 107 Report post Posted August 19, 2008 Hey, just bumping an old thread instead of making a new one. I just obtained a broken ONE90 and I'm planning on salvaging it and making it my roller/street hockey stick. Does anybody have pictures on where they cut their stick so I have an approximate idea on where to start? I know the graphics will be positioned differently from stick to stick but I'm looking for a rough idea. Thanks!
SuperMan3 1 Report post Posted August 19, 2008 If its just for street hockey, why not just flip it?
ramensandwich 1 Report post Posted August 19, 2008 Cutting around this red line will let you put a Standard blade in. I had to shave about 1mm off the hosel to get it in,but the standard blade resulted in losing minimal length of the stick.

mickz 107 Report post Posted August 22, 2008 I cut near the line ramensandwich suggested and I was able to fit a tapered blade in with minimal shaving of the shaft. However the stick is still super short. The butt end of the stick is too narrow for a standard butt end to fit. Is everybody else's ONE90 like this?

ramensandwich 1 Report post Posted August 22, 2008 butt ends go in fine. just heat the shaft a bit and it will go right in. i had no issues.
