RBK 9K sizing question

Recommended Posts

So I just bought the new 9k's (white :) ) and i've skated in the like 3 or 4 times.. .i wear a size 11.5 or 12 shoe and i was fitted into size 10 skates.. i feel like they are still too loose... any idea if the store would take them back. I know this might piss of the LHS and I dont want to do that

You used your skates, and want to know if the shop will take them back? If they did a full fitting service and you feel you were wrongly fit then you might have a case.... but I doubt you're anything but stuck with the skates you've got.

You could always talk to them. Ask the guy that fit you about what you're feeling while you skate and if the size 10 may have been wrong. Keep in mind he doesn't have an x-ray machine, so the fitting was based on your feedback.

they would probably let you bake them again, that might help some

Baking is not going to make them feel smaller

Where are they loose? Heel or all around?

Either way, take them back to your LHS and let them know how they fit. I'm sure they can help you out.

Well 9k's have a wide heel so that may be your problem, maybe you were fitted wrong I don't know. But if you can't get your money back then just pump them up a lot if you don't sell them, that might help lock your heel better.

By the way, I wear size 12 nike shoes and size 9 RBK skates.

it looks like i just didnt take enough time when getting fitted, because I wear size 12 shoes pretty much all around, 11.5 new balance but thats pretty much it and my old skates were 10.5, and I felt those were to big, so when the sized me up for a 10, i figured it would be perfect.. after a few skates though no dice. I'm going saturday to try and get it taken care of.. Think if i tell them if they exchange them i'll but the new eagles i've been eyeing up anyway :)

Like has been said before, the heel in the RBKs are wider. When I first skated in them, i had a huge blister on the inside of my heel. When I lace my skates up now, I make sure to kick my heel to the back of the boot and tie the skates up fairly tight.

See what they can do for you. Do you have a narrow foot? If you have a really narrow foot the RBK may not be the best skate for you. Hopefully you can jump down a size and it will work out for you!

No I actually have a wider foot, which is why I went RBK in the first place.. Manager was gone when I stopped in there so we will see how i goes this time around..
