Dolomite combo for $205 or "one piece" for $150

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to purchase a Dolomite. Originally I was going to purchase a shaft and blade at a cost of $205. Then I read that the one piece version was just the shaft and blade fused together. I can get the one piece for $150. I'm just wondering if there's any reason why I would want to go with the shaft/blade combo. Any benefits? Is a Dolo one piece with the blade removed exactly the same as a dolo shaft. Any chance the modified one piece won't fit a Dolo replacement blade? I guess I'm wondering why anyone would pay more to get the combo? What would you do?

Thanks

The Dolomite OPS seems hard to come by at the minute. I can't vouch for any LHS with them lying in stock but I tried getting one shipped over to Scotland last month.

I had no luck with about 5 different online stores, all of them told me Warrior were out of them.

Did you start by asking if they had any, or that you're from Scotland? Might be a cop out to avoid saying they won't ship to you.

The one piece can be hard to pull apart, and you might damage it in the process. I'd only get the one piece if you want that shaft and blade combo.

NOt sure where your buying from or looking at them, but we sell the Dolo 2 piece for pretty much the same price as the one piece.. Actually come to think of it the 2 piece is actually a few bucks cheaper. Are you looking at two different generation sticks??? I know the MAP on the Dolo one piece is right around $175 so for them to be selling them at $150 makes me think its either last years model or older.

Most places I look at the 2 peice would save you 10 bucks total instead of going with the 1 piece dolo.

Hmm. I'm in Canada and these are the best prices I could find (Cyclone Taylor and The Hockey Shop. Both are in BC and I'm in Nova Scotia). Both the one-piece and combo are 2007 models. Anyone know of any canadian retailers offering a better deal?

shipping across the entire country is gunna cost you an arm and a leg.

I was given a quote of $20-$25 dollars, which doesn't seem too bad. I'd obviously rather buy here but my LHS's don't carry the combo, and they charge $250 for a 2007 dolomite one piece. No thanks...
