crispy92 14 Report post Posted December 18, 2008 I saw this on youtube and at about 11 seconds his stick gets some insane backwards flex. can someone tell me if this is real or did he just edit it
sectachrome 40 Report post Posted December 18, 2008 Thats not even possible, especially hitting a ball. Probably a broken stick or something.edit: Actually, pretty sure its just a fisheye lens or something in front of the lens, or its a shitty camera phone that is making it look distorted like that. crispy92 14 Report post Posted December 18, 2008 ya but theres no way that can be possbile. that it flexes that much as soon as it touches the ball
interpathway 9 Report post Posted December 19, 2008 It cannot be a fisheye or wide angle lens either because the edges of the cement he is standing on are perfectly straight. If there was a fisheye on the camera they would taper off at an angle as the lines move further away from the center of the lens. I paused it at 0:11 though and that is insane looking, despite how fake it is.
pg-1000 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2008 read the comments, it explains it.Like he said, read the comments on YouTube. The camera shutter speed is not fast enough to catch the whole movement (i.e stick hitting ground, then flexing backwards) it only catches the stick flexing forward. It just so happens to catch it at the most extreme point.
