Super Feet!?

question in sizing the superfeet. I have a significant diference in size between my shoes and skates. Skates (vapor xxxx) 7.5EE and shoes (asic running shoes) 10.5 4E. which one would you use to gauge the correct size?

Since you want to put them in your skates....... getting the size according to your shoes does not make any sense. One of those 2 is to big or to small for you, I mean 3 sizes, that's to much if you ask me

for people flat footed, i would suggest the graf pre-molded insoles. they have lots of arch support but it isn't as rigid as the superfeet so it gives just a bit when you push on it.

i was using superfeet for the last year but switched to graf insoles cause my new skates weren't nearly as forgiving as my old skates.

to graf insoles have a heel lift? I want something in the lines of the stock insoles but with a little more arch support, not something like the superfeet with the whole heel cup that raises my heels just enough to kill them in a matter of minutes

they add a tiny bit more height in the heel, but not as much superfeet. also, graf insoles have a gel pad in the hell cup which cushions your feet. i'm liking it quite a bit.

I have a pr of yellow in size 9-10...would be willing to give them to someone if it will help with a problem in the skate? I think I used them 3 times, but they just took up too much room or volume in the skate....Can I do that JR...give away some superfeet in this forum?

I'm near Toronto, if someone wants them?

I agree. great insoles and i actually found that they improved my balance and stability. I don't have a pair in my current skates but i am going to buy another pair because i miss having them in my skates.

Hi, can you help me with the sizing, I found a dealer on ebay and I don't know what size to chose because they're like 7-8, 9-10. I wear a 8.5 skate, what size should I get, I asked the seller and he said that the medium (7-8) is for skates 8-9. Now I don't know if this is true or if he is just trying to sell his stuff. Any help is apreciated.

We're talking about the Graf sidas here, sorry for the highjack

Graf Sidas sizing seems to roughly match skate sizing. The medium (7-8) Sidas was a tiny hair shorter than the factory footbed in my size 8 Bauer TO.

Do you trim the sidas? Because I guess I need a large 9-10 than since a 7-8 is a bit smaller than the stock size 8 footbed. You would think that they would come up with a size for one of the most common skate sizes 8.5

Yes, the Sidas is expected to be trimmed and even has marks on the back for that purpose. The arch support also appears virtually identical between the medium and the large, so if in doubt, definitely go with the larger size. The SOLE company (http://www.yoursole.com/) does make footbeds in individual sizes, but most of the other brands are S,M,L,XL and trim to fit.

From my experience Superfeet will somewhat help with your foot rolling inwards and falling in and flattening out. It has a good arch to support your foot and keep it stable and prevent it from falling inwards. They will help prevent your feet from rolling in, but the blisters I do not know.

With regards to locking your ankle down, my experience may differ from others, but it actually caused my heel to slip. My belief of why this happened is because the superfeet take up a little bit of volume in the skate, and the heel of the insole is slightly raised. Because of this, my heel pocket was slightly raised causing my heel to slip a bit. Luckily this was nothing to worry about because my skate just adapted around my heel so now I have no issue with heel slippage, as a new heel pocket was eventually formed.

When you first wear them, the arch of the insole will feel awkward to your foots natural arch. After 1-3 skates (only took about an hour for me) your foots arch will adapt to the insoles arch. They feel amazing to me, way better than any thin cheap insole stock skates have. I feel like I have more of a firm hold on my edges, and control of my skates in them and a stronger base to push off from.

Pretty much the same as my expieience!! But I ended up getting custom skates with the Easton footbed.....works great!! Too much slip in heel for me, could not resolve? Could not stand pain to try and allow the heel to form new pocket! Skates were far too stiff.....in hindsight, should have tried baking, a new heel pocket I guess?

I suppose getting custom skates and the easton insole would be the better choice if it is comfy. I was worried about the heel slippage had to really crank down my laces until a new pocket formed. I did not really think of baking my skates again to be honest, but that is a good point :P The pain is something I would rather not go through. Luckily it worked out for me in the end, and you as well.

okay so ive called any store on superfeets website listed as a dealer in my area and none of them carry yellow superfeet. how am i supposed to figure out which fits if i order online? if i just order a pair based on my shoes size is there at least a pretty solid chance it will fit?

You should buy whatever size superfeet that matches to your arch and heel. I wear a superfeet for a size 14-15 shoe but my shoe size is 9.5. I got some crazy feet! I would see if the online vendor you are trying to buy the superfeet from will let you return them if you want a new size. Without the superfeet i feel like my ankles are going to break, I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

How is this possible?

I don't think it is. It certainly hasn't been my experience. Superfeet (and all the other alternate insoles) take a bit more volume than the standard ones, at least in every skate I've ever seen, but they don't affect the length one way or the other.

well i can understand how if it did.

the arch and heel cup would help lock your heel further back in the skate, so it wouldn't slide as far up or as easily before with a flat footbed, and thats where some of the perceived length would come from.

it'll just fit better in the toe box BECAUSE of heel cup and and medial arch support. it's a by product.

I used to rep a line of aftermarket insoles, and all the "quality" ones do the same thing

Do you need to remove the plug in the access hole in the heel on Bauer skates before you put Superfeet or any aftermarket insole in?
