sundinleafs137 13 Report post Posted September 6, 2004 Always been a PC fan of the game but looking at the screen shots and videos, they look very similar for this year. I only used to buy the PC game cuz of "addons" but I'm not into that anymore. Any opinions on which platform is better for the game?
kovalchuk71 212 Report post Posted September 6, 2004 PC IMO. Depending on your graphics card, the graphics can be insanely good. Also you can update your rosters and play online (if you dont have PS2 online)
KC83 2 Report post Posted September 6, 2004 its always about the ps2... you have to keep upgrading your comp if you want to keep playing every nhl every year.. the ps2, just plug and play!
Chadd 916 Report post Posted September 6, 2004 I have a 17 inch flat panel and a 36 in TV, I'm going the console route for most of my games.
JR Boucicaut 3803 Report post Posted September 6, 2004 Always PC for me. I hate console games.
Cavs019 710 Report post Posted September 6, 2004 PC may have the edge with the ability to add players to the database considering consoles dont have a create a player. However, ill be going with the xbox version on my grand wega. cant wait.
kosydar 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2004 Exactly. My 17 inch moniter vs. my 45 inch high def. No contest there.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted September 6, 2004 Yeah but HD doesn't make a difference for games.
kosydar 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2004 I know it doesn't, but I'd rather play on a 45 inch screen than a 17 inch of the same quality.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted September 6, 2004 On the larger projection screens the graphics start to look crappy. I haven't looked lately to see what the largest tubes are, I may upgrade after x-mas.
bdj 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2004 If you have the system to handle NHL then go for PC of course. If can play at 1600x1200 with max details with playable fps, I will of course. Also playing online and being able to update rosters in a snap is a bonus. I will be going with the pc version but my brother will probally want the ps2 version, so I will be able to play both(unless he gets espn, which I dont think he will)
Tom351 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2004 I play PC and just hook my laptop's video out to the TV if I want a bigger screen. S-video out is so easy to get on any PC now that screen size is not an issue.
