IIHF approved sticks

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but what are the approved sticks for IIHF world championship play?I heard that some countries were disqualified for not having correct sticks.Is this true?

Cause Im pretty sure any stick is good to play in either IIHF or NHL.

well, for the NHL, as long as they pay the 50K fee, (unless painted)

And a 3/4" curve is the legal maximum for both.

Usually sticks are just blacked out if they haven't paid the IIHF extortion fees.

Ah thanks, my dad was saying someone today told him that if the sticks weren't 'legal' that the country could be disqualified. Thanks for the replies.

he's wrong...but like the NHL companies have to pay the fees to "show" their products.
