on the last thread about the x60 vapor, some of you guys with more inside knowledge said that the x40 is going to be the equivalent of the now xxv and the x50 something betwen the xxxx and xxv. does this fact still stand?

Wonder if the X-60 will be for sale (like the XXXXs and One 95s were the past 2 years) at the Lets Play Hockey Newspaper Expo at the MN high school hockey tournament.

Damn 800 in canada? You're better off making friends with someone from the states and having them ship you a pair. But really, how much are these bad boys going to run

The price isn't too crazy, same price as the One95's when they came out.

X:60 - 499.99

X:50 - 379.99

X:40 - 289.99

Your pricing is a tad off for the new Vapors.

I am sure JR will update if needed

Yeah, it looks like Lettermen is doing free shipping for any pre-order as well. Otherwise the standard $4.99 shipping isn't too bad either.

I'm assuming Bauer will have them at the lets play hockey expo coming up, but I'm sure they'll be at least $600 there.

The x60, is made of carbon like the one95.

the one95 is made of carbon? even the outsole from what I know is a carbon composite, texalium, but not carbon

So, is this where the NME prototype ended up, or vice-versa?

Um, no.

Um, Ok.

I mean, everyone keeps on asking that same question and it's just frustrating. Mission Ice has gone the way of the dodo. Plus, Bauer has had this skate mapped out for at least two years. Not only that, you're going from a company that has damn near 70% of the NHL's market share to a company that had less than 15 skaters in the NHL in their boots. No offense, but Bauer did not buy Mission for the NME technology.

not to hijack a thread, just a quick interlude, will the Mission intake helmet survive?

The pdf i have showing the x60... Says that the outsole is a Full Carbon Composite, which is exactly what it also says about the one95 in the pdf.

It's pretty unnecessary, imo, for Bauer to be this strict and adament about keeping this skate under wraps. It's a HOCKEY SKATE, not some sort of nuclear weapon.

It's all about corporate espionage (and a bit of marketing).

If you're releasing something top-of-the-line with new technology, you don't want to show your competitors what it is and give them time to integrate it into their skates. Not saying this is going to be a game breaking skate, but you never know.

When someone says to you, "Hey [insert your name here], guess what? .. Ah never mind." Now you really want to know what they were going to say.
