I have a pair of Bauer X60 skates with the XXXX graphic package Would it be ok to show pics?

Wow, Bauer is really getting to people with this X60 secrecy. I've seen them and they really aren't that awesome as far as looks go in my opinion. They do look better than the XXXX's though. The One95 still has the best look in their line up, followed by the FL4.........

But you're talking about it, right?

And that's the point.

Fair enough, I realize that; but Im more or less talking about the hype. Bauer X60's, iphones, Nissan Skylines ( the hype is not overrated in this auto's case), etc. Its all about marketing and getting the word out.

Advertising is expensive. Hype is free. Definition of Public Relations right there.

This is beyond hype now; Bauer must have bought one of Apple's RDF generators.

Building hype is fine as long as the skates live up to it once they are released. Based on what I've seen (based on looks alone) that doesn't seem to be the case. I was hoping to finally retire my Vapor 30s for a pair. I'll have to see em in person in a couple weeks and make a decision once I try em on. Otherwise I have another pair of unused XXXs I can bring into service.

Wondering if the new Vapors are going to be a drastic upgrade over the current line? In other words, would it be worth it to spend the coin on X50's or save some cash and get some XXXX's or XXV's on closeout.

There is an Ad in the new USA Hockey magazine and on the bottom it says "A new era of fast begins 4.9.09" is that a release date.

Sounds like a release date to me,

I think JR mentioned something about the 10th before too.

Lads, just to make you feel better about you parting with your cash.

When i bought my 40's in October 2007, they cost £420 and the exchange rate to dollars at the time was 1.9, so thats about $798 US dollars - I would hate to know what the x60's are gonna come to in the UK now that the exchange rate is so poor.

Think i will be in my 40's for a bit longer!

Hockey equipment over here hurts.. as you'll know.

Probably should have added into that story that when i bought mine i was in Florida and they cost $550 which was much nicer on the wallet :D

I feel bad buying this from america and having it shipped to the UK, but why would i pay say £190 for a one90 stick when i got one off of a nice guy on ebay for £80?

The prices over here are crazy and i only buy small/emergency items from my LHS. I wish there was some way of getting things cheaper over here but there really isnt :(

And x-track, IMHO the pounds now dead, we'll probably be in euro's by the end of next year.
