lefty57 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2009 For the NHL Center Ice users ... anyone else experiencing a high amount of static on the HD broadcasts ? Static was very noticable in the Sabres-Rangers game a few nights ago so I called the cable company and was told the problem was on my end. Checked all my connections and rebooted the HD box; static continued. I'm using a shorter HDMI cable and the TV gets other channels like ESPN-HD w/o static. About ready to switch to Direct TV if this keeps up ...
JR Boucicaut 3803 Report post Posted February 23, 2009 You have BrightHouse?I was watching "HD" games on the free preview and it didn't even look like HD...it was staticky. However I can watch Sun Sports Lightning games in HD and that looks perfect.
lefty57 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2009 Yup, Brighthouse - so it's not just me. Got a call into Brighthouse now to see wassup ...
GekigangarIII 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2009 I get it through Time Warner and we don't even get the HD broadcasts. Which is odd because I thought that the center ice package was the same regardless of carrier. I can get the local FS Ohio broadcasts fine but they're not being broadcast by center ice, also that doesn't help me when I want to watch FSN detroit's HD games. ;)Are they on a different channel range than the standard definition broadcasts on center ice? ie) my range for CI is like 621-635 or some such... but I don't think I've seen an hd broadcast on any of them. CAmmon 2 Report post Posted October 26, 2009 Good call :( Will complaining get them to do anything about it or is it not in the cards?
Chadd 916 Report post Posted October 26, 2009 Good call :( Will complaining get them to do anything about it or is it not in the cards? When I call I get the "oh god, not this asshole again" tone of voice. Since I don't mind losing the Flyers broadcasts, there are alternatives for me.
hehatemefrisbee 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2009 Yeah im confused at the lack of HD on center ice. If you are going to advertise that they are in HD, why cant I get them? Doesnt really make sense. Is this a carrier problem or a center ice problem?

Is this a carrier problem or a center ice problem?Lack of bandwidth for the cable company. It's much more important to have five channels of religious programming and the Hallmark channel in HD, than a couple hockey games.

camhockey16 5 Report post Posted November 3, 2009 thats what happens when a company gets too big to care about what their customers think - and then when everyone starts cancelling their subscriptions comcast will say that nobody wants to watch hockey anymore and that its not their fault.
