Custom XXXX Skates x 2 + 1 More Pair

Recommended Posts

Depends on what is going on at the factory at the time the order is placed.

23 weeks for customs? Hate to break it to you, kid, but your order was NEVER placed.

Well JR, Apparently my order was delayed, and that is what I am being told. So Who knows.

These just came in today. Another pair in less than two weeks! Size 8.5, EEE, # 3 stiffness, Selanne style top eyelet left out, Supreme white felt tongue in standard length and thickness, and extra padding in ankle. This guy is really happy because his Custom XXXXs after 12 months wear and tear are now just an exercise in Sharpie coloring patterns! He was overdue a month ago for these. Once again, thank you for the fast production time!!

why does the stitching on the inside of the tendon guard and above the xxxx look so sketchy. Do all customs look like that? But i love the tan clarino.

On the #3 stiffness, I have requested re-inforced eyerows(thicker wall). The stitching is hand guided on a machine. The machine is fast, strong, and powerful. Perfectly straight stitched lines are not automatic.

i don't mean to bitch and whine, but do you have a special connection where you can get yours made faster? i assumed all the orders just went into a que and then got build first ordered to last ordered, with the exception of pros. if those came in yesterday, that means you ordered them around the 17th of March, and i must have ordered mine before the 17th of February. I'm getting real frustrated waiting for them, especially when i see them turning around so fast but mine seem to be on the back burner. all the skates you've had made look great, gets me more and more excited to get mine.

are customs really worth it for a 14yr old whos still growing..how much are they

I wouldn't think so. Heck, with some kids' growth spurts, they could be outgrown before they even arrive.

He's also getting skates ordered that will not be available to custom order after TODAY.

I am willing to bet that the reason why the XXXXs were done quicker was to get that tooling/materials out of the St-Jerome Pro Shop so that they can concentrate on making X:60s. I've been to the factory - I have seen the process.

So, quit your bitching. You're still on schedule.

JR, layin' down the law of custom skates...

Is that pinhole where the top eyelet would've been always going to be there? Not really a problem but just wondering if that is like a pilot hole that the machine makes. Then I'd assume a worker just doesn't punch the top one out?

He no longer works in a store. He placed the order for his ONE95s through me and the store that I run them through, and his credit's just fine.

I'm telling you, getting the pro guys into the X:60s and having a pair of XXXXs come through the queue...that's throwing a monkey wrench into the assembly line.
