Worth the price difference?

Recommended Posts

Is the 230 dollar price difference between the ONE75 and ONE55 skates really worth it? Are they really worth the extra money? I'm in need of a relatively light skate for wide foots, so im looking for a surpreme because all of the vapors ive had just werent wide enough...im also looking to spend not more than maybe 250, maybe 300 if the skate is that good...

look around you might find One95 for a good price......did you try a vapor xxxx? 40's can be had for a great price everywhere

One75 is a nice skate.....I would say closer to One95 than One55...pretty much updated One90

I looked at and tried on both skates, with the difference for me being the coarser mesh liner in the One55 and the smoother liner in the One75. I liked the liner in the One75 better, so I got it, but if they only had my size in the One55, I would have got that instead (that was what I wanted originally). I'm not such a great skater to take full advantage of the One75 performance advantages, but I knew that going into the purchase.

theyre a bit out of my price range, $400...lol..if they can be had for close to $300 they are definitely an option..but i heard that vapors run narrower than supremes, which is why im interested in getting supremes instead

check out the NBH Supreme Comps which are pretty much a mix of the one55's and the one75's

I have Comps - great skate, and an excellent compromise between the 55's and 75's.

I've been researhing the supreme line and trying to decide between the 55 and 75 but have been coming across a lot of "try the comps" suggestions

Which Comps do you have, I see thehockeyshop has an '08 version and what seems to be a older version. Does anyone the differences?

If that's the case then the One75 is not the skate for you, it has a narrower heel than the Vapors and is narrower than the other Supreme skates. I'd try out the One55 and maybe a leftover One70 if you can find one... honestly I say try on as many as you can and take as much time as you can just trying them on and getting a feel for each.

My brother has a wider foot and is in the Supreme Comps this year. $300 I believe? I have the one95's and was very impressed with the structure and build in the comp. Holds up very nicely as well.

The One75 is not narrower than the other Supremes. They fit the same as my old One55s

Right, and they changed the fit for the new line. The one 75 is the only skate in the line that retains that old fit.

I dont think so. It has a lot more volume than the One90. Try on the two pairs of skates, you'll notice a difference in fit.

i want to try on as many skates as possible, but i wana try a EE...what is the main difference between a D and a EE?

Width. The difference is the width of the skates. EE is wider than D, which is their "Regular" width.

When you say the One75 narrower than the other Supreme skates do you mean just the heel or the overall width like the forefoot?

Right good question cause for me the one75 is just as wide in the forefoot if not a bit wider there and more narrow in the heel, which was perfect for my foot. I am just D wide. I was told that the one75 wide, is WIDE in the forefoot, just my 0.2

Came from XXV 9.5EE much happier feet and finally locked in

Yea Saba is right, the One75 isn't narrower in the forefoot just the heel/ankle area, they do loosen a touch after baking but still pretty narrow back there, good for some ppl (like me) but not for others.

I have the '08 comps. I was going to purchase the One75 but they did not have my size. To me they fit just about the same.

After looking at the "blend" of features the comp's have I decided they are actually a really good value.

If someone is asking about Supremes and they dont live in Canada and have access to Source for Sports SMUs, why refer them to it?

I am in a Mission AGX but am looking for something a little less stiff and slightly higher in the boot. I am assuming the one75 is much stiffer? Is the One55 stiffness on par with the Vapor XXV? All 3 are available at my LHS and my foot falls right where either a Vapor or One55/75 would fit. Just looking for a skate that has the right amount of flex for the low intermediate level skater that I am.

Because they can order on line still, can't they? Never realised they weren't in Canada, didn't know hockey existed elsewhere.....
