Indentifying a Pro-stock stick...

Recommended Posts

At the end of 2007 (seems so long ago now lol), I Picked up a Brewer pro-stock Mission V-hex 2 from hockey monkey as it was only $120 for the shaft and 2 blades. Anyway since we all know that with pro-stocks just because the graphics say it's one thing, it doesn't mean that that's what it actually is, I'm wondering if anyone could offer any insight as to what it may be (even if it is indeed a V-hex 2).

The printed sticker on the inside of the butt-end of the shaft says "MHBL100AVXC" so far at a guess is:

"MH" = Mission Hockey

"B" = Brewer

It’s 100 flex so that'll be the numbers but the rest I have no idea, any suggestions?

PS: there is some other stuff in smaller font on the sticker that I can post if needed (seems less important due to it being smaller) and if it means anything it's a standard shaft, not tapered...

Pretty sure he knows there's no warranty and that is not what he was asking. (I have no idea how or if you can tell...sorry)

I guess the only way you would know if it is the same stick and not just graphics is if you have held the original stock version of it but, also on most pro stock sticks these days you the side opposite to name and flex on the base of the stick it may say "PRO STOCK NO WARRENTY" or a least it said that on all the game used sticks at the leafs in the acc

Guys, if you don't understand the question why are you trying to answer it?

He's asking WHAT the pro stock stick is. He isn't asking if his stick is pro stock.

I don't think he's asking for verification that the stick is pro stock. I think he's asking for ways to identify whether the stick is actually a Mission VHex 2 or, as often happens, the stick is something entirely different made to look like a VHex 2 for sponsorship reasons.

If that is what you're asking, sorry, I have no idea.

I remember having this problem during the prime (hahahaha...) of my playing days with "regular" synergys (silver) painted to orange and/or red to look like Si-Core sticks (like yzerman and modano were using). Companies do this sometimes to push a model of stick or to have a good percentage of their products being represented in the marketplace. I vaugly remember owning a bright yellow pro stock synergy that wasn't grip coated...

Not really sure how to help 100% beyond keeping other people on point here.

EXACTLY what I'm trying to find out. I know that it's pro-stock because it's danm near impossible to just overlook the nice bold text on the back of the shaft that says "Custom pro no warranty". That's what I knew, what I'm trying to find out is a Vhax or another stick that's been repainted to look as one for whatever reason be it sponsership or advertisement...

like i said before i guess the only way you would know if was a Vhex or somethin else is if you used a stock version cuz it would prolly feel different if it wasnt a Vhex, but then again people get custom stuff done to their sticks so it just feel different regardless if it was just Vhex graphics or if he just got mission to do stuff for his stick (ex. lighter, different grip...etc.) which then again doesnt really answer your question so sorry :(
