I've notice that on my left skate, my feet are unbalanced, feel like I'm rolling my ankle outwards.

Great skate, so light and molds awesome, thanks for your advice guys, had to bake mine at 6 minutes @ 200 in a Bauer oven twice and got a great fit.

Only other complaint, is that the ankle pretty much is loose in the boot laterally. Heel lift still happens. Got the 2009 model 80% right in my opinion.

I recently purchased a pair of U+ pro reloaded skates, baked them according to the sticker. No pain, perform great. Best skates I have ever owned.

How is the width of the U+ compared to the One95? If Im a D width in the One95, would I be a D width in the U+?

Also, is the 7 minute bake safe?

i have no brand loyalty what so ever. but im sick of hearing 70% of nhl players use bauer skates. yes 70% do use them, too bad they are prostock custom made models that are not even remotely close to what you and i can buy. anyone who purchases skates because of what pros wear are a fool. unless of course they are garfs, because graf does not offer endorsements or prostock skates, what you see is what you get with graf. not saying graf is better its just how they do things. kind of wish evry skate company would do that. oh well.

Not true at all. Anyone can order a custom set of Bauers for only $75 more than the retail price. In doing so, you can get a custom fit and all kinds of custom options the pros get such as any outsole or tongue you want, double stitching, extra stiff, extra padding, etc, etc.

Also mistaken as Graf most certainly does custom "pro stock" skates that the pros use. Just like Bauer or CCM, they are full customs, not generally off the shelf skates.

You are right in they do not endorse players to use their gear, they do however allow for full customs just like anyone else.

I'm drooling over the idea of getting custom bauers and all the options you can get

Yeah, well back on topic to the CCM U+ Skates :P

Got my U+ Pro Reloadeds a couple of days ago...They felt like garbage out of the box, but after a bake they were a lot better. Still had some pain after that bake though, so I threw them in there again for another 3.5min at 200 Fahrenheit and they fit great now.

Like somebody above mentioned, I get a bit of heel lift as the heel area is surprisingly wide...but meh.

Also this is my first time with high end skates, should they feel almost looser than my old skates? I feel like they aren't tight enough but when I focus they are plenty tight. I'm thinking it's just because they are lighter, so it feels like they aren't on my foot :P

But anyways, good skates so far...won't skate on them for about a month though so that sucks.

Sounds like they don't fit you right......

The U+ Fit looser in the tongue area.

Just got my pro stock Reloadeds (retail fit with added stiffness and a thicker felt tongue :D ). I'm at school right now, so I have to wait until Friday to bake them. I can't wait!

How do the 2009 U+ 07s compare to the U+ 09s?? Is the ankle foam just as thick and plentiful? Are they decently stiff? I have the money to get 09s, but if 07s are well made with lots of padding Ill probably just go with those.

Less foams in last years version. Go with the new model. Much better skate

Nonono not the 2008 model, the U+07 from 2009 vs the U+09 from 2009. Whats the difference in the foam and stiffness in those?

U+ 09 is a better skate than she 07, it's stiffer and lighter. Not exactly sure about the foams but the 09 is a very nice skate.

Sweet, just bought 2 pair of 09's online to try out, return one or both if they end up not fitting. Hoping the heel isnt too wide for my feet, but we'll see!

Lol after countless encounters with the wrong fit why not just make a trip to a lhs with good knowledgeable employees?

order from iw again?

Nope, from Perani's... Free shipping and no restocking fee. IW was out of stock.

Because not a single pro shop around me carries CCM. They all carry Bauer and Easton. One also carries Graf, but they are all out of stock of everything but bauer, and have been for a long time. Atlanta hockey shops suck big time. Im out of luck, but Im determined to get a good fit!

I all,

after more than 1 year on the skates I want to give you some impressions..

The beginning was wery painful, backed the skates almost 3 times to get the right shape. After then they was fitting perfectly and was like wearing normal sport shoes. No pain at all, very comfortable.

Skating becames then a lot easier (my feel), and my speed increased quite a lot. The main difference between my old skates is that the new ones are a lot stiffer and precise, so that they are like "fusioned" on the legs..

Now, the trend starts to invert. They start to hurt again. I did not realize before, but now I have like a protruding "bone" on the dorsal of the foot. And It's quite painful when I tight the skates. On the left foot I also have some problems on the same region, every time it hurts more and more, like it was a inflammation of the senew. Probably on the right foot it begans on the same way, but I do not remember to have any pain in that region.

Did someone have the same problem? what did you do?

thanks

I went to see a doctor to have it checked.

Turned out there was a stress fructure that healed wrong. Fructure was in one of the bones that are in line with the foot, second one from the inside. Can't remember the name.

Boom, they had to break a foot to re-set it. 4 months in a cast.

Given it was almost 30 years ago back in Moscow, medical sciences have gone a long way since :-).

You still may want to have it looked it.
