Pro stock 10k sticks or the 8.0.8

Recommended Posts

been looking for a right handed pro stock 10k or 8.0.8. Mostly because it seems like the pro model is a bit nicer than the retail 10k and there is no retail 8.0.8. yet. Anyone on here know where I can find one, used is okay if its in good shape still. I'd actually prefer the 8.0.8 if possible. Thanks in advance for any help!

There's been a fair amount of RH pro stock 10K sticks on there at great prices too. ;)

Top one is retail but others are pro stocks...

From what I've seen there aren't any retail 8.0.8s available. I've had my 8.0.8 for a few months and the feel is great(CCM Pro-only blade) and the stick shoots well but it's nothing spectacular. It's better than the 9K0 but it's nothing special.

As far as the 10K goes, I've seen v110s, v130s, U+ and others dressed as 10Ks. Actually, there are quite a few v110s and v130s that are being used at the pro level.

Too Old...Is there any noticeable difference on the ice between the pro stocks and the retail 10k? Just wondering cause I know from holding the retail at great skate it feels VERY light (and looks pretty sick also).

retail is a lot lighter than the prostocks...remember too old saying the shaft wall was thicker with the prostocks too

This shows the cross-section of the shafts on pro stock and retail sticks side by side. Easy to see how the retail 10K is so light. Almost scary light maybe.

Left to right... S11 85 flex retail, CNT 85 flex retail, 7K stiff? retail, U+ stiff retail, 10K 100 flex pro stock, 10K 100 flex pro stock, 10K 100 flex pro stock, 10K 100 flex retail Crosby Edition...

A lot of the Pro Stock 10k's ive come across and sold will feel much different then the consumer model 10k. I've seen a few different shafts besides the standard T and C that Rbk usually offers and then theres the blade. A lot of the prostocks i have come across are more of the 10V version if you want to call it that where they have the Vector style blade in it. I think this is because a lot of the guys are non Rbk guys and the easiest way to make their curves is to use the Vector style blade which they can easily curve without having to mill or CNC a gig like they would have to for the RBk style blade.

where from can i get RH pro stock 10K sticks

eastwesthockey.com has some RH 10k's on their website. They had a few more options a couple weeks back so if you call they may have more curve options in-store.

EDIT: thehockeyshop.com has a few RH options too

Check Ebay, or call TSR

TSR doesn't have pro stock Reeboks right now. I hear they might get some in the future. Pure Hockey has a small handful of them.
