Its a little hard to see, but theres another crack running parallel below the obvious one.

Well the more noticeable one i used to get sometimes in wood replacement blades. Don't know if this is helpful but the smaller one could be the effects of the bigger one?

That's weird and the only other time I've seen a crack like that was on my Mac Daddy but that was because usps stepped on it, and the crack ran vertically

You do realize you're hitting a puck, right?

..really? I would have thought I was hitting the puck with the bottom edge, I dont have a strong enough technique to break through the ice and strike the puck half way up the blade :P

I had a Dolomite II blade that cracked in the same manner on the face. It's just par for the course. Frozen pucks are dense and carry a lot of velocity at game speeds.

I think if you'd experienced university and beer league in the UK you wouldn't use the words "a lot" to describe anything

+1

I've had the same thing happen on two of my dolos. Just tape it up and it will sound a little weird at times, but in my experience performance won't suffer too much.

Sorry - I only see one crack and assumed the other was on the bottom of the blade

If I'm not wrong the last time one of my sticks cracked in such a manner, was because i was hitting to much is on my slap shots. This may or may not be the case for him but my slap shot technique was pertinent with the crack on my blade at the time. I noticed that when i started to work on my snap shot, because my sticks weren't breaking like that anymore. And as soon as a started to practice my slap shot again those cracks showed back up. Just my 2 cents.

Although I dare say my technique is bad, for those of you who've had dolomite blades crack like this; was it cracking on the back hand like in the photo or on the forehand? With it being on the backhand, thats why I think it's strange! :P

stu will has problems like this all the time, this is the way he breaks most of his blades. he's had a mixture of forehand and backhand cracks. richie also has this problem i believe. pick their brains at training on wed or summit ;)
