2010 Bauer Roller Hockey Equipment

Recommended Posts

does this mean that now there is a merger that they have let the patent/copyrite slip for between the brands??? will this be something we see across the whole product range???

Without knowing details, I'll say think of CCM and Reebok with htings such as the tri-di chassis

All I can say is..its about time bauer, what took so long?I always know you had it in you to build a serious inline hockey skate.Did you just start listening to the inline players?have you seen the talent in the game? Its not just a driveway sport anymore.thank you bauer.I will give that vapor RX:60 a serious look, and just in time.one of my boys needs new skates.

Does anybody else think it looks wrong seeing a Bauer branded Vanguard chassis?

These do look nice though. Except I already know these will be way out of my price range.

My first two pairs of inline hockey skates were Bauers, while the fit was amazing the durability was not. I hated the wheels. And i literally tore through the outside of the boot to the inside on them. Keep in mind i was falling alot, but IMO Bauer needs to buff up the protection piece that is right before the toe cap on these skates. This is all my opinion and experience i don't wanna sway anyone from buying this skate, but that is what happened to me. THese skates do look good though and im happy they went to Labeda wheels.

For somebody who has been a mission fan since my first pair of Proto VSi's it's a bit odd looking at those vanguards and seeing "Bauer" slapped across them.... but those are some mighty fine looking skates- I think I can deal w/ that.

I'm guessing those will be a little bit too pricey for me....any word yet on the price point skates that will be in the new line?

The X60's and the rest of the new bauer line were on display in the Mission booth at NARCH. I picked them up and they felt really nice, and stiff. I'm definitely gonna have to give these a try when they come out. They also had the new Mission Boss SE's on display, and had all the sizes there to demo there but I didn't try them.

I really dig the look of the all black x-60 boot. I wouldn't mind having a pair converted for ice.

No need, there'll be a black ice edition for Christmas

JR, do you have any comment on whether or not these are X60's w/ inline chassis on them, or if they are dumbed down X60's? From previous posts, it appears these may be a legit top end Bauer ice boot (if you compare the written specs), but was wondering if you had any insight to shed on this topic? Since there's a black X60 due out for the holidays...another reason to think it's not a specially manufactured roller boot.

The next model down for those without such deep pockets looks like a great skate, much like the RX:60 boot color wise (copper highlights on the dark frame) with composite fibre outsole, looks to be speced about the same as X:40 and will probably retail for around US$350.

Is there any mention in that catalogue (or anywhere for that matter) about the new goal skate Bauer has in the works? I talked to a dude at the Mission booth at NARCh and he said something is in the works using the One95 ice skate but tailored to be a true 4-wheeled inline skate and not just an ice boot with a chassis slapped on.

I am in desperate need of new skates for next year and am interested in these, but unless I hear when they come out I'll just go buy the Tours.
