As of two weeks ago there were only two 11ks made. A left and a righty. I'm not sure the NHLers have gotten them yet. I talked to RBKs project manager a then and I think I remember him saying they'd be using them in the Olympics.

Also, the 11k I saw was not white, but once they go into production I'm sure that's all able to change.

It won't matter. They've (Reebok) never offered even one decent performing composite stick and once again offer out another to retailers.

And they bragged they were going to do things different than Nike...

never said anything about the stick's performance on ice or on the shelf.

Retail failure.

That's related more to their terrible history with sticks and poor marketing than the quality of the stick. They could put out the best stick ever made tomorrow and it wouldn't be a retail success.

well if it the 11k's indeed. Mara was using a warrior spyne before the switch and in nyr all year also, he did the switch 2 games ago and did not go back to warrior can't be a bad stick as many think they are.

I'm confused- are you guys saying Reebok doesn't make any decent sticks? Or are you saying they don't make any decent sticks for retail?

YES

CCM went the right direction with True Temper doing the U+ and U+ CL for them, but, they're still having a really hard time shedding the perception about their non-performing sticks.

So all these pro's we see using 10k's.......why are they using them if the stick is that terrible?

Most of them are either call-ups from the AHL, and Reebok throws equipment at em like it's no tomorrow.

That or the players don't have sponsors yet

reebok seems to be the most 'generous' with demo sticks or whatever you'd call them. at the Canucks gear sale, there were more 9kO and 10k sticks in a wide variety of player names than any other brand. and lots of them.

reebok and ccm doesn't use the same manufacturer? Figure it would be more cost effective to do so.

i don't know if they share manufacturing facilities (it would make sense fiscally, volume wise), but i wouldn't assume that based solely on the fact that they use different technologies.

Speaking with AHL and ECHLers as well as former pros who have used them, lot of them are really liking the 8.0.8 and 10k sticks. I haven't tried either myself

Same guys who absolutely abhorred the 7ks and original O-Stick.

I'm a bit mixed on the U+CL. Not a huge fan, but I would prefer the S17/S19.

$

Also, what do you consider "all these pro's"? NHLers? AHLers? Reebok's NHL numbers are boosted by the AHL deal. Most guys ask for samples from Easton or Warrior as their 1st or 2nd choice when they get the go-ahead from the EQM when recalled. Bauer would be next, but, they're gaining slowly but surely.

Bauer is #2 stick in the NHL. On some teams they are #1.

Do you know where I can see stats on this? I would assume Easton is #1 and Warrior is probably #3, but it's obvious that some teams favor one brand and others favor a different brand, and I may just be watching the wrong teams.

I don't think anyone puts out an official breakdown report? Each pro rep files an equipment report for internal use only.
