Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 I'm fairly sure they don't even make it to the Pro's, most of the teams will have a PR guy who signs them and such. I've got a gretz autograph and alot of leafs as well from doing the same thing. Worst comes to worse you wasted $.10 on a stamp so I'd say try it and then let us know. JR Boucicaut 3801 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 I remember reading Gretzky's autobiography - he said some kid sent him an autograph request and all he put for an address was "Wayne Gretzky, Canada." And it got to him!

Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 Just write to a player tell a little about yourself and why you like them and tell'em you'd love a autograph. I used to do it all the time when I was little, but that was back when there was no E-bay and the notes were all hand written so they knew I wasn't going to fire it up at a card show or something as well. GekigangarIII 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 I had many questions answered by Keith Primeau today over lunch. Does that count? Since the answers were likely "No thanks Chadd, I don't swing that way" and "No! I won't sign your boxers", I don't think it counts. ;)

We're trying to decide if we're going to carry the gear and we had a meeting with him today. He gave me one of the 110 flex OPS in his curve to try out. RadioGaGa 162 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 Years ago I sent cards and letter to Patrick Roy, Denis Savard & Vinnie Damphouse (when they were all Habs) and **don't laugh** Rob Pearson of the Leafs. The only one I didn't get back was Savard because he was traded about a week after I sent the letter.

BTW are you ambidextrous Chadd? I've always wondered since seeing lefty blades in your blade bin pics back on CB.

The curve pics on the website are not accurate at all, the #25 is a Sakic that is slightly more toe and the #24 is a YP. The #25 is pretty similar to the Hespler Smyth that I was using for a while. If you want one let me know, the prices are a little lower than most of the other OPS.
Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 We have them in our shop, the gloves fit nicely, but look kind've ugly to me. I haven't tried the sticks out, but love the grip and the way they handle. I shoot around in the store with it alot and they are really nice in your hands and the sandpaper blade is a nice touch as well.

Gloves and pants are nice but a bit expensive. I'm going to give this thing a workout before I make a decision.
Eman24dx 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 I can't speak for the rest of the league but in Buffalo the autographs do get done by the players, but the letters usually don't make it to them. When the mail comes in we set aside the cards, pics, pucks, ect. for the players to sign and throw away the rest except the return envelope. Its a real pain sorting through all the mail and seperating into different players. Most of the players sign them and we send them back but a few certain guys rarely do.
