Nike-Bauer S9 pro stock skates

Recommended Posts

There have been a few times within the last two weeks now that I've seen pairs of skates from Nike-Bauer. They're the S9 (ONE95) model. Apparently, they are only available to the PRO's, meaning other than eBay, you can't buy these in store.

I am eying a pair for about 350 dollars at the moment. They're practically brand new. The skate itself Has the ONE95 logo stitched on it but it clearly is NOT a ONE95.

Currently, I own a pair of PRO-RETURN Nike-Bauer Supreme One95s. They're amazing! Does anyone on this forum own the S9 pro stock skate and a regular retail skate? I'd like to know what you feel on the s9 that you don't feel in your 'everyday-retail' skate.

What does this S9 skate offer & is it worth it? I've never seen it! except recently.

They look pretty sweet & 350$'s doesn't seem like a steep price at all.

I'd say get them if you want the fit and function of the classic supreme boots of the past. They are only meant to mimic the One95s cosmetically; The actual design is the classic design/materials found on older skates like the 7000/8090/etc.

Hmm,

I used to use nothing but EASTON from back in the day. It doesn't sound like I'll get used to them anytime soon if I do purchase them. The ONE95 is my very first skate from any type of "new line" of skates ;-x

Do you like the 8000/8090? If yes, than its worth it. What defines worth is what you are willing to pay.

They seem like great skates, I like mine, they are stiffer than a retail skate, fit better, and have better heel lock. They seem pretty durable also, a kid I play adult hockey with sometimes has had them for quite some time, he had his made though.

I was lucky and found some that were my exact size down to 1/4 size

I added superfeet to mine and it made them way better also

I missed some on an Ebay auction about a yr ago. Missed the bid by 10 bucks. Big regrets, but very happy with the ONE90's, apart from the cracked fish tank chassis that is. <_<

you have to realize that if your coming from a one95 boot that this S95 is not going to be nearly as stiff... so if you really like the one95s like you say then you shouldnt get the S95

hope that makes sense

to each his own of course, but I personally don't get it.

IF you fit well in One95 (which fits similar to S9 anyhow) then why would you EVER go for an archaic model like this? I mean come on - it even comes with plastic outsoles, and is quite heavy (not to mention not as protective) as One95?!

I'm bias tough as I really like my One95 :)

You can get them without the plastic outsole also
