Itech Ice Air

Has anyone tried it?

How does it compare to Under Armor in terms of wicking, durability, etc.?

Thanks in advance.

can't tell you from experience, but most of the products our there are all pretty close to one another. you will find differences in thickness and texture, but they all work pretty well. i will tell you that you do not need to spend the money on under armour. there are alot of shirts available for half the price that work just as well... hope this helps.

UnderArmor has just a spray coating on the shirts that washes off in about 20 laundry cycles. It's really just the thickness of the shirt that does the trick...from what I've been told. CCM shirts are less expensive and do the same thing. I dont know about Itech, I havn't used one yet.

If I'm wrong, please someone let me know.

I also use the long sleeved WSI wikmax. I love it. Keeps my body just the right temperature, and I'm pretty much try when i take it off.

I've got 2 UA heat gear and a Performance Grey sleeveless. I actually prefer the Grey right now...the tight fit ones are comfortable, but I think that the more you wash them, the less effective they seem to be. But...still more comfortable than a cotton tee.

I'm looking for a less expensive alternative...may look into some of these options. I found an ebay store that had the Reebok NFL tight fits cheap...I may try those.

I'd like to try long sleeve as well...Canadian Tire had a tight fit long sleeve (Itech maybe) for 45 (Cdn)...compare that to 54+ for UA and that could be an option to...

Once you wash them 10-15 times, the coating is gone and they aren't effective.

Does that apply to WSI as well? I've had mine for about a year now and have washed it after every icetime and it doesn't seem like it's working very well.

I've had some of the wikmax stuff for a couple of years and it's still working well.

when washing your wicking under shirt... don't use fabric softener. whether in the wash or in the dryer. the fabric softener is what effects the chemical treatment of the shirts and makes them useless. if you have used fabric softener, wash the shirts a few times with just hot water, and that should help you out.
