Green is great as a primary colour, but it's not so hot when you pair it with red.

Because if I see another organization or brand name cash in on "vintage" I'm going to murder someone. This started years ago when trendy clothes shops in Miami Beach were selling The Doors T shirts for $70 and has culminated in a free for all of "hey remember all that stuff that was uncool? we brought it back!"

Actually, I share your sentiment. I think that the green trim offers a little bit more, not just plain red and black.

As original as it looks, i think NJ does one of the nicest jobs with red white and black, and it would be a shame to see them change it especially after the cups they won in them.

Thrashers? Nah, too traditional for them. They do modern stuff, and I've liked their baby blue, and I've grown to like the third. It's unique, and other then the number it's really not that unattractive. The wordmark is pretty much a logo, and the sleeve pattern reminds me of the NY jets, which is a good thing. The color is unique, the color combo is unique and well done.

Well, considering that the wild asked to design the jerseys for that game, and they designed these, it's not too surprising that they would base their new design off one they had already developed and liked.

I like the Devils classic jerseys as well. As far as this one, it looks great but the lack of red makes the gloves look ridiculous and out of place. I would either add some red maybe at the bottom or just not wear gloves with so much red...

There's a little red on the jerseys, and it kind of turns the red on the gloves into a subtle accent that works in tandem with the subtle red accents on the jersey.

If they used primarily red gloves, then yeah it would be rather tacky.

Im not convinced those are the gloves they plan to wear with that jersey. It seems like the same colorway of their normal gloves. Notice that the player (Burns is it?) isnt wearing gear? Just gloves jersey and a stick. If he were fully outfitted, elbows, shins, socks, helmet ect. than yea those might be the gloves they will wear. Replace the Oiler 3rd gloves with Green instead of blue and white instead of orange, and you got a damn goodlookin glove.

Edit: I stand corrected. There is a picture with full gear. In that case, the whole jersey is botched because of the gloves IMHO.

Again, jersey is cool but the gloves are out of place. I hope they have new gloves like the Pens do. And hopefully the devils will

Really great design on this one, simple, classy, and NOT black. Like the small bits of red in the logo/wordmark on the front really seems to stand out up close. Great job by the Minnesota jersey team here.

I don't mind the look. I'd like to see it with a glove that was primarily green and white with only a small amount of red. In the case of Burns' gloves, perhaps only Easton text would be red, with the parts that are currently red becoming white. Burns' red stick isn't helping matters either.

You only have so much potential when doing a 30th anniversary retro jersey... But I see where you are coming from, I heard a rumor that the next jersey they were going to unveil would be gold, and have some new logo, but I guess they opted to go with a Vintage
