Old Bauer Wood Blades (Clark/Bure Patterns) ?

Recommended Posts

I missed the days of the old Black Bauer Supreme wood blades. Are there any similar Bure/Clark patterns that exist today ?? Also where is the best/cheapest place to buy these right handed senior blades ??

Bauer Blades have a shorter hosel than other wood blades right ?? I remember holding an easton and bauer wood blade up to another and they were different lengths.

Some of the Bauers did have a short hosel. The Clarke is still being made as the P71, I don't recall the name on it. The Bure (P10) is not the same as it used to be.

The bauer Supremes were black, with that ridiculous Harpoon latch system, and had normal hosel lengths. you may be thinking of the vapor 4 line, they had shorter hosels. i think they came in lindros, bure, clark, pronger, redden, modin, lehtinen, tverdovsky, desjardins, and as for P71 and P10, chadd is right on

The harpoon ones also had the Francis pattern and the kevlar-coated ones had the Graves, both great patterns.

The original Bauer Supreme blades didn't have the harpoon latch thing, which I just glued over anyway. That moronic system came later.

What is the best current alternative to Bure pattern? I've snaped the last blade of the bure glass tennon blade pack i got ages ago and not even sure what to try now... Gagne? Any advice on Bure-like blades is welcome

Ok,I've bought a new blade... FOR ALL OTHER BURE PATTERN FANS OUT THERE: Get current Bauer p10 Gagne. Identical!!

PBRyan:

Peca is NOTHING like bure - its much shorter for a start

all star:

Just put a screw in it and pull out with a pair of plyres (spell?:)

uhhh, hate to break it to you buddy, but every P10 Gagne blade, stick, pic, etc has been a shanahan clone. I would love to believe you, being a former Bure pattern nuthugger myself, but it just sounds too good to be true. You can probably find some really old dried out Bure Supreme Kevlars floating around; my lhs back in Cali I think still has a couple left, on MASSIVE closeout...

Well, what I've done: Put my snaped Bure blade's two pieces together and then put Gagne blade on top of it. They match pretty much perfectly. Length, width, lie; square, but slightly rounded toe; mid curve... The only slight difference is that gagne's mid curve is slightly more open(bure is pretty much closed). So a great allround forqhand-backhand-stickhandling-slapshot blade

Maybe we are talking about different Bure patterns- mine's retail '99-2000 (not sure, quite old). He must have shnged patterns during his (amazing! sigh...) career:)

The first retail Gagne wood patterns were the same as the old Bure. The composites are Shanny style but I haven't see any of the newer Gagne wood blades lately.

All of the Sports Auth and dicks goods stores have em for the 7500 blades.
